Fez - Never had the chance to do so. Currently playing more games that wouldn't be my first choice. Originality yo. Eh, I'm having a good time. I had to get used to it at first but when I did, a whole world opened for me. Literally. There's one thing about this game that I despite, and that is connecting areas. You walk through a door, new area. And sometimes when you try to walk through the same door again, you end up in a whole different space. I want to finish a level first before I move to the next one dangit. Call me a perfectionist (or autist if that's what you prefer), but I'd rather have a manual level selection. Other than that, good game.

Freedom Planet - Started as a hack of Sonic, ultimately became better than most classic Sonic games. I knew about this game before it came on Kickstarter and finally Steam, because Sonic is still (despite what some may believe) my favorite franchise. Never really had the chance to play it though. I regret that. Freedom Planet truely is a fascinating game, by how much it combines elements of classic 2d platformers and even shoot-em-ups. Characters were fun too, and the voice acting actually sound really nice! I would love to see more games from this company. I'd give them real money.

Tales of Xillia 2 - I'm truely impressed. All of my expectations, blown out of the window. I mean, Xillia wasn't that bad but compared to this game, it is. They even managed to make a silent protagonist oustanding, by having your choices actually matter. I mean, there are 5 different endings, of which I've seen 3. And trust me, the bad ending here is really, really horrible to the feels. Like, a big f*ck you or something, I dunno. Even the good and true endings weren't perfect, but I'm not complaining here. Not everything can end perfect. Heck, this game even made the characters (which I thought were just alright) way better in this game with more in-depth character stories. Special mention to Muzet, she's just plain awesome. And Ludger himself was great in combat too. He basically took Xillia's combat system and expanded upon it to infinity. Not as good as Graces F, but definitely great. There is at the moment only one negative point I can come up with, and that is the constant exploring of areas also visited in the original. The chapter's themselves didn't last long in contrast, which made it feel more like a drag than an actual experience. Oh well, can't have everything I suppose. Here is another current ranking. Abyss and Innocence still aren't on the list. Didn't finish Abyss when I was younger and vague memories, and Innocence crashed on me. Eh, the disadvantages of pirating I suppose. 1. Tales of Graces F 2. Tales of Eternia 3. Tales of Symphonia 4. Tales of Xillia 2 5. Tales of Phantasia 6. Tales of Vesperia 7. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World 8. Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave 9. Tales of Xillia I mean, every choice is ridiculously close to each other with the exception of Graces F which towers above the rest (2, 3 and 4 switch a lot, and so does the bottom 4).

I have no shame. I need to pick up my trolliance again.     Reminds me, I need to update the first post already since apparently no one else is able to. Eggh.

(I mean, I've been gone for a little while but how did you guys ever manage to get this far? Oh well, I'm proud.)

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - This time with passwords. Because I was pretty P*ssed off when I reached the end of Ages and I couldn't fight Ganon. But eh, saved the code, put it in here, and here I am. The oracle games have a mixed reception, but I enjoy them. They play similar to LttP and Awakening, which are 2 of my favorites in the series. And the Oracle games are, in fact, 2 different games, so I'm all excited for a new adventure.

Shantae - You would think that I didn't like this game, given how much time I spent on it. Well, you are wrong my friend. I just never had the time to finish it. Busy life y'know. But I had a good time. Fun secrets to discover, albeit too much effort at times which I didn't care for. Lack of tutorial isn't that favorable either, but I'm sure it helps me on further adventures.
  8. The Happy Birthday Thread

    Happy birthday my friend!
  9. Star Ocean 5 has been announced. I can't contain the hype at the moment. Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope is one of my favorite games ever so... yay!

I was the same when I learned of Persona 5.

Tales of Xillia 2 - I'm sorry guys, I really tried to avoid playing a Tales game again so soon. I can't help it either that this franchise is just so good. And that was also my first impression when I played this game. Xillia was... good I suppose. It's at the bottom of my list though, not counting DotnW though that game rivals it. Xillia 2 felt way better, and though I have only just gotten off le train, I got the feeling that it won't sway anytime soon. That's all I can say for now I suppose, because I haven't played it that much. Blame my job for that.
  11. question

I'm sorry, but for that reason I have to move your thread to the trash bin. We will upload the comics whenever we get them or someone donates them.

Golden Sun (Wii U virtual console) - Got this with the leftover stars from Club Nintendo, and I must say that the game starts off strong. Yes, it is pretty cliché at the beginning but if it's done well, it's done really f*cking well. I can't wait to play more of this game, but another week of work has started so I'm not assuming to make a lot of progress over the coming days/weeks. I also really like that you regenerate mp, or in this case psynergy, by just walking. I often hesitate using spells because I might need them later. Like items, but with magic. I don't know if it makes the game easier than regular rpg's as I have not encountered a single boss yet, but I like it. The only nitpick I have so far is the confusing menu, and the lack of explaination it has. Otherwise, having fun.

Ratchet & Clank (PS3) - A game that prove that I should open my arms more to games I know next to nothing about due to never showing interest. Surely it has its annoyances, but overall I had a great time. I'm also really determined to 100% this game, and may eventually take trophies into consideration (the 1 million bolts grind holds me back a bit). Yeah, apparently this game did have trophies after all, though it took a while to actually show up. I almost found all the gold bolts, which were cleverly hidden but I found them all myself! Well... 90% anyways. Skill points however, makes me really consider using a guide. Unless the game gives me hints or something, I dunno. I'm not done for a few days with this game, but I'm really excited to try out the other games in the franchise.
  14. The Happy Birthday Thread

Happy birthday to the both of you!   (That reminds me, where did the calendar go...? Oh well, I'll check that out later.)

Ratchet and Clank (PS3 collection) - I wasn't in the mood yet to go for another RPG, so I decided to play this one first as it was catching dust. In all honesty... I don't think I have ever played a Ratchet and Clank game before. Don't know why, and it could very well be possible I have, but that's where bad memory comes in. Anyways, I'm having a good time so far. Lots of secrets, fun platforming and combat, exploration, it's all there. Though I do get the feeling they were really lazy with this so-called 'HD remaster'. Doesn't really look that HD to me, and it doesn't even have Trophies. Which would be great to have, because despite me not liking them too much, this game might just be perfect for them. Lazy. Oh well, still enjoying the game, and I don't think I'm going to drop this anytime soon.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new World - Hoi v2. You know that game in the series that is by many seen as one of the worst? Well, that's this one. Can't say I'm one of these people. Yes, DotnW has very clear flaws, which I can make an entire list of. And it does not live up to it's prequel, or the Tales standards in general. Which are pretty high, so I can't really blame the game. It has no cameo battles, no costumes, no overworld. The characters aren't anything special, though I have a weak spot for Marta due to how adorable she is. Decus and Alice suck. Sidequests are repetitive. Combat doesn't feel that good in comparison to the other 3d games. Monster system is good if you pay attention to it, but also has a few flaws. And you know the best part? Despite everything above, I had a good time going through this game. No really, the only time I sat down and didn't want to play anymore was when I was too focussed on the sidequests, which I definitely won't recommend. The story isn't the best, but it at least makes tons of sense, like it explains how the world of Phantasia is nothing like the one from Symphonia, despite being the same universe. It also doesn't feel like they forced the Symphonia characters in, and you see them actually creating a bond with Emil and Marta. Mystic Artes look pretty good, especially Radiant Roar. The game has humor. Monster system is still better than Ni No Kunicrap. Actually, the game is still better than a lot of JRPGs. Overall, the game has obvious flaws but it still provides a fun time. I'd even go as far as to say it competes with Xillia. Yeah, I just said that. It is my least favorite game in the series (it is for many people), and it is still a good game. And now I wonder why people still question my taste and the quality of the Tales franchise, because it's obviously better than most rpg franchises. This isn't even an opinion anymore, guys. Darn serious here. Nghnh why is Marta so Darn adorable.
  17. Games that you recently got

Went retro again today. They were pretty cheap, so insta buy. Secret of Mana and Illusion of Gaia/Time guys!

Soul Blazer - What a fascinating game. Storywise it isn't anything special, but almost everything else is really good. Fun and fresh ideas, and the gameplay is really neat, though I could have lived with a wider sword range. The game was pretty easy overall, though the bosses provided a welcome challenge. Also really fun final battle, though also pretty easy. I can't wait to play the other 2 games in the series (Illusion of Time/Gaia and Terranigma), because if this is only the start, I'm really curious to see what these two will bring me.
  19. Websites you visit daily

Mhm yeah, I suppose an update couldn't hurt.   - Sonic Scanf (Obviously, I'm an admin here after all) - The Chaos Theater (Forum) - Youtube - Outlook (x2, for a business mail and a regular mail) - Facetwitumblr - Howlongtobeat.com (Good site to check how long a game may be. It isn't too accurate, but eh.) - Backloggery - MyAnimeList - Chia-Anime

Shantae - Everybody loves Shantae. The entire countdown community does. So eh, it's about time. Can't say I disagree with all those people. Shantae does a pretty good job as a Metroidvania, especially for a first game in it's franchise. I'm really enjoying my time so far. Soul Blazer - If you asked me a few days ago what Soul Blazer was I would say 'eh, the prequel to Illusion of Gaia', but otherwise I couldn't tell anything about it. And now, a few days later... I'm in love with it. I am really liking this game so far, and I'm already at the 4th level so that says something. If this keeps up, it might give a lot of my favored SNES games some competition. And I heard from our glorious overlord Avaril that Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma are only better soo.... consider me hyped, excited, and all that.

Beavis and Butthead (GB) - It sucks. Avoid it. Kuru Kuru Kururin - This is actually one of the first GBA games I've ever owned. Never beaten it though, and now I remember why. This game is far from easy, though I can't speak for easy mode. What, I barely ever play on easy mode. Overall it's enjoyable though, while being frustrating at the same time. Game has some variating difficulty curves too, though the final level does test all the skills you have learned throughout the journey. I'm not geven going to bother with completing this game though. Taking no hits on stages? No thanks. Also, you guys should know the main helicopterstickthing from this game, as it is an assist trophy in Brawl. Mhm, also got some Sonic Game Gear titles out of the way: Sonic Labyrinth - It's actually not as bad as people say. I wouldn't call it a good game, hell no, but it has it's charm. Sonic is indeed slow, but the spin dash isn't so... it kind of compensates I suppose. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Started off really weak. I mean, I had no problem with the Antlion boss literally everybody is cursing about, but the first 3 zones of this game were just so boring and forgettable. Heck, the third zone can rot in hell for all I care for. You though Labyrinth zone was bad? Ha. Fortunately afterwards the stages got better, despite the fourth stage just being a Green Hill zone clone (It's called Green HillS zone, go figure). Aside from that it's alright, but nothing compared to the next two games. Sonic Triple Trouble - I played Sonic Chaos first but I'll talk about that one later because I like it slightly more. Sonic Triple Trouble felt more like the Genesis games, and that's a good sign. The advantage STT has over Chaos are the stage designs, which are pretty good with special mention going to Sunset Park and Robuttnik Winter. The Special Stages were also pretty neat. Sonic Chaos - The game I like the most of the 8-bit sonic games. Stages weren't too long and for the most part enjoyable, Special Stages were really fun, and it introduced Tails to the 8-bit games as playable character and several new upgrades.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1 - I never expected to have this much fun. I mean, my expectations were pretty low but for this to become my favorite game of this year so far means something. Like, it's miles ahead of every game I played this year. Fantasticly fun characters, great gameplay, mant distractions and diversions to do outside of the main quest, a lot of customization etc. It's also a game you don't play for the story, but at the same time you do. Don't expect this to be a deep story that drags you in. Expect it to be a story full of funny moments, and references to the history of gaming in general. That's another great point about the game: all the allusions to other games. Heck, the main characters are bases/designed after gaming consoles or companies. Overall, don't judge a game before playing it like I did. I expected it to be an animu game full of boobies and stuff. Well, it kind of is but far more than just that. Give it a chance, you may just like it! Also, IF and Falcom (ultradimension) waifus. I mean, Last Order is cute and all but these are some serious love interests yo.
  24. Hyrule Warriors

I got the DLC. Eh, it's fine, but it's also pretty difficult to the point where you literally have to grind levels otherwise you're not likely to make it far.
  25. Metroid!

Metroid, another glorious franchise by game creator Nintendo. Unfortunately, this is also one of these franchise that I just don't have too much experience with. Soo... discuss right away! I have nothing :3
