Yeah, I thought the inclusion of the Freedom Fighter might be a stretch, but it all seems to add up reasonably well.

I know I'll probably be wrong when I say this, but I have a theory in what the story is in relation to the games next year. From what we're seeing, an Unleashed adaption is being penned as a big story that's slowly, subtlety, but surely coming to fruition, but why Unleashed of all games? Well, I remember reading Takashi Iizuka saying the Werehog may appear again in the games. So what if next year they release a sequel to Unleashed next year? It would surely explain the comic's adaption of Unleashed. And I know this pushing it, but perhaps the Freedom Fighters appear in the game? This is all just a theory, one that even I'm having doubts about, but I just thought it all seemed to add up to that.

I don't think so. I'm hoping any comic exclusive characters that weren't made by Penders will return a little later, you know when all the heat from the lawsuit cools off.
-
I have to feel sorry for Ian. He had all those plans for issue 300 and now they've gone kaput. It's not the comic's ruining, but this certainly leaves a bit of a dent.

I agree with MetalSkulkBane. Terios would be far more fitting a name for an Anti-Shadow. I mean Shade just doesn't really fit, since plenty of fans will just get Shade the Echidna in their heads.

After seeing what they did to Muttski, I now feel clueless as to what's going to happen next. As for Bunnie, we know before the crossover she was hiding out at Dark Legion Chapter in the desert (most likely to have cybernetics again). However, I get the feeling that probably won't have happened at all in this new world.

Not the biggest of revealing spoilers, but still thanks for sharing it :)

It's like I said. I don't want him to be a one trick pony that comes in for this arc and then gets booted into the dead character bin.
-
I think you should have beaten me to it. I didn't bother to put in the solicits  Sort of sad we won't see Theta, but still it only adds to the mystery.
-
I have to say Eclipse really amps up the creepiness factor for this arc and that's what I find interesting about this arc. I just hope he's not too much of a mindless henchman and isn't some one time villain.

I noticed the parody too ;) Rafa Knight's a real star Sonic artist. Although the variant Shadow cover's a bit bland if I'm honest.

The new covers are up! :D
-
Congrats on beginning. As long as you enjoy them, you'll have read them all in little time. It's when you read the main comic, where things get difficult ;)
-
And to be honest, I'm really glad that's your answer.

I...Really don't know what to say to that. At first it was kinda funny, but the last two panels...

I'm hoping Knuckles won't remain the only one of his kind for too long. If they can get around any possible hiccups, they could try and use Sonic Chronicles characters.
-
I was going to like this comment, since I agree with pretty much everything you just said, but when I saw the last paragraph about Knuckles, I relented ;) All we can do now is hope that Ian's managed to salvage something of a reasonably good new origin for Knuckles.

I'm not saying Penders is a bad guy or anything, I actually like how creative he was with his characters (can't say I'm crazy about his writing though). I'm just annoyed by the outcome of it all. I get the feeling all this didn't have to happen and there might have been a better solution to it all.
-
What's most annoying is that all of his characters almost count up as half the blazing comic's cast.
-
That could likely be the case. I just hope that if Omega does fight Shadow, they should make it reasonably even matched. I don't want it to be a simple spin dash, chaos spear, then K.O. fight for Omega. It just wouldn't do the guy any justice to his character (as though his interactions with Cream weren't reputation ruining enough!)
-
I'm willing it to be finished for good. This whole darn thing's caused nothing but grief for fans. However, considering this thing case lased years, it shows that Penders is a tenacious soul, so we'll never be sure until he says he's done with this business.

All the way to 300!? Crikey, I really do feel sorry for Ian about all this. In my opinion, Sega's lucky they got such a good writer for the comic. With the talent Ian has, they should really let him go wild with what he has in mind. As if the Pendermonium was already restricting creative flow. Now we've got Sega limiting things even more. Are they aware of the winning formula the comic has had for all these years?

On a lighter note, I have an interesting theory. What if Julie-Su does return, but in the form of Shade? I know it probably won't happen, but I think that would be a really good idea.
-
Hang on a second. Omega is designed to capture and keep Shadow at bay (at least in the games anyway). So why is it we find Omega in a heap on this cover?

The end result? A very inefficient form of locomotion :P
