The knowledge we'll learn about all these botched stories will be satisfying to our curiosity, but heartbreaking to hear because it will never happen. I for one am all right with the reboot, but that won't change how much I'll sorely miss the old canon.
-
How does it do that to Shadow?
-
That did Locke no justice. Not at all. Cancer? Seriously? Makes you more grateful to Ian for changing it completely.
-
@MetalSkulkBane, I agree about Penders' stories. Endgame's original plan just seemed stupid in my opinion (Sally's death seems like a way for cheap drama) and the MXYL story was completely unnecessary for the comic. Plus it was boring. So he's trying to sue Sega now? This guy really needs to get over himself.
-
Well this issue certainly got me interested.
-
Wow...I thought the Shadow cover was cool, but that Eclipse one is just...Whoa
-
The Sega cover's a bit boring, but the Yardley cover is a real head turner. It's quite different to his usual style. Anyone thinks it reminds you of 252's cover? As for the story, it does sound basic, but the solicits can leave out plenty of details, or get it wrong entirely.

I am 98% sure the "Gr" means "Great" but that's all I've got as to what the rest of the plot is called. I haven't even got an idea of who will be in this one.
-
Well, I guess I'll share my whole thoughts on this
-
You're not the only one. If this comic was a cartoon, that would definitely happen.
-
I don't really like complaining about artwork because even the worst Sonic comic artwork is 4.4 million times better then mine ever would be, but the pencils for this one just lead to disappointment for me.
-
Well, I can certainly tell you Geoffrey is not coming back. If you want to know who's officially gone, then have a look at the Ken Penders topic and you'll find a list I think somewhere there.
-
I'd certainly like to see Bean and Bark tag along, but sadly I doubt that will happen. Snively returning in The Chase seems possible, but there's no real evidence he will appear.
-
Here's some interesting news I just learned of. Even though E-107 Theta won't be appearing in issue 258, E-106 Ete will appear instead. So as you can see there's a big difference there :P Also, Yardley's drawing issue 256 on his own without Wells.
-
Well, this was certainly something for me to talk about.
-
You mean the name of the guy who drew the issue? Oh no that's actually his real name!
-
I saw some more spoiler photos on Bumbleking and I have to say I'm disappointed with the pencils this time. Everything about the look of them seems as though they're going backwards from Wells pencils in the previous issues. This time they have someone called Jerry Gaylord doing them and it just looks messy.

I think I also read somewhere that Ian said Mighty and Ray are still in the comic, so at least they're not gone like other characters, just a different dynamic on what team they're on I guess. And as an answer to Simon's question about story arcs, I think it would be nice to see some shorter stories, but only as long as they connect with one big plot and I think we're already getting that judging from the enormous amount of Unleashed nods.
-
I think I saw it somewhere that Tyson had tweeted this. It's a shame really. We've already lost two members of the Chaotix and to lose a nother two just seems to rub salt in the wound. Oh and if I remember I think The Chase will be a two parter.
-
Welcome newbie :) I was going to provide a few recommendations, but I see Simon's really beaten me to it :P But you may want a chance at reading the Super Sonic VS Hyper Knuckles story. Pretty mighty with all the super form clashing.
-
That sure is one funny off-panel  Though, I suggest Marine pursue a different path of career.
-
Most likely. The main comics haven't had any Christmas issues in the past as far as I can tell.
-
I didn't even know the comic was getting a Christmas special.

After the slowed down Lost World, I think it would be a good idea Sega went back to speed rather than jogging about. I'd love to see the Freedom Fighters appear in a game though. Unfortunately I really don't know when next year's games are announced. I think May is the most likely month.
