Sort of forgot there was a topic about this. If I knew about it sooner, then I'd probably have posted my recent post about it here. So yeah, my thoughts are this thing had some pretty poor execution. I would have enjoyed if it were just one page- no alternative- and showed something for later rather than just being a simple "what's up next" scene that doesn't add anything.

Geez, it's getting intense over at Bumbleking about this After the Credits thing. I can understand their opinions, but they sure are strong. I mean, it's over now and I doubt it'll happen again. I don't see the need to have a massive debate over it now. What's done is done and all that. Maybe I'm being a bit insensitive, since I'm not buying them, but they are being very analytical over this entire thing.

I think it would have been better if they just made one of these extra scenes instead of different ones for each cover. It might have been a good idea, but the execution was poor. As for it happening again, I have to say I'd prefer it stay a one time and one time only kind of gimmick.

I always knew Teams Hooligan and Chaotix would be great matches as rivals. Seeing them battle each other is going to be a real treat to see.

Well, this issue was a surprise.

Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only Ken Penders! Once again showing his "gift" of talents. Now while you gawp at that I'll be trying to unsee by using mouth wash on my eyes.

You almost had me hoping it uploaded to the site Nega! :P

Holy...

You know when I heard there was a Sonic VS Knuckles cover, I was so sure it would be the Werehog. Guess I was expecting too much.

I'm already enjoying this reboot more than I imagined. It's been heading in the right direction so far.

Let's face it: Snively's redesign is awesome when compared to Knuckles' redesign.
-
I just realised something. We should get preview covers of future issues within the next couple days or so. :)

I knew these Sega mandates would backfire somehow. Not massively or anything, but they do get a bit irritating.
-
Why do I get the feeling Snively will rip that beard off as though it's some disguise? Because that's what I'm feeling.

Seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but it is a bit unnerving.

Whuh, server problems? Slowdown? Crashing? This is news to me. I haven't experienced any of this, although it could've occurred overnight while I was sleeping...
-
The crashing has been like 11 to 12:30 UK time. The slow speed has been around since Friday

Aw nuts. I was planning to buy Sonic Genesis on hardcover, but that idea went out the window and into the fiery bin when I saw it's average price. Well over £26! Even the paperback is expensive, but way fairer. Guess I'll have to think things over some more.

I have to say when I first heard about this train chase story, I was a little underwhelmed by it, but reading this whole short arc made me so wrong! It was a really joyful read and it's nice to see that Axel will play a bigger role later on. Overall this was probably one of the most Sonic-y feeling stories I've read. Also an interesting note, Yardley did pencil layouts for 259 again. Interesting to see another artist combo again.

If you're talking about the variant after the credits ending, then that's because it's released a week after the regular issue has been released.

Sonic Comic Collection (Archie series, Manga, Fleetway Series, Panini, etc)
HyperMetal50 replied to kimplix's topic in Comics
Universe 1? Man, that one's got one of my favourite covers. :) It's similar to my story however. I have no comics, but I got the Sonic comic encyclopedia for my brother on Christmas. -
Heard there's going to be a new graphic novel of World's Collide. Although it's more a super graphic novel, since it will contain the whole story. Sounds awesome, but what I also heard, was that it will cost around $60!

I'm with Nega in that variant. Why couldn't that after the credits thing happen for this issue! Anyway these are awesome (and somewhat eerie) covers, but the solicits give me a theory with the story. It says Sonic is at risk of drowning, what if the others can't save him and he washes up (werehog and all) somewhere and meets Chip?

The more I look at that main cover, the more I see Treasure Team Tango in this story :P At last he's here! :D What's particularly interesting is that I think Jim Amash is doing pencils.
