  1. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I suppose so, but I think it might actually happen. From what I've seen, new villains are being introduced and a new leader for the Black Arms might just be one of them.
  2. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I have a sneaky suspicion that they are Black Arms, just under a different leader is all.
  3. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

If you go onto the Sonic Wiki and look up their pages you'll see the solicitations.
  4. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I don't think so. That idea is sort of in Penders waters, so I doubt they're going to that timeline.
  5. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I've always wondered why Vector's "Find the computer room!" quote is so famous.
  6. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

I can't wait to see all the COTC covers together. It'll be one of those cherry on the cake moments for the comic. Ben Bates has just been so magnificent with the latest covers :D And we finally see Sally on a cover at last! I like the look of her in Bates style than how she was drawn in Stanely's style.
  7. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

I really like the sound of this next arc. It's like Shadow the Hedgehog, only it isn't some bad game :P
  8. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

What if it was a cube and it was too big for even Big to move.
  9. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Maybe a pet rock's a more suitable pet for Big.
  10. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

It would certainly mark it as a really memorable moment the comic ;)
  11. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

I'm surprised fans haven't already been making a fad in calling Countdown to Chaos CTC :P But I doubt it'll become boring enough for you to drop it. Ian said something "Big" is going to happen at the end of this arc, so fingers crossed we're going to have peaked interest when it ends.
  12. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

In case you guys are wondering why Max is only called King Acorn, Ian said Penders named him Max...
  13. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

I'm with Simon about the two writers directions. Bollers seemed to have a better idea in bringing a bit of closure to some stuff, while Penders just created more plots, which I admit sound interesting, but I just feel Bollers is the stronger writer compared to him. And Snively dying is really not a way in getting more sales. I like the little bald guy, I like how he's become one of those "I may be down, but I'm not out" kind of characters."
  14. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Me too. I just so hope he pencil's another story arc again. It's so long since we've seen his crazy and iconic style.
  15. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Same here, I thought it had a few more laughs than any regular issue. And Gray's pencils only added to the hilarity :P
  16. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

I read that issue 134 (infamously known as "The Slap") is one of the most hated issues. Now I know why Bollers was no longer with Archie after this, but I still found the issue to be a good laugh, despite the really out of character moments... Though I have to agree, Sonic and Sally's breakup was seriously outrageous, but it was still funny ;)
  17. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

So I finally got to read the issue I've been so eagerly anticipating and I'm not surprised to have some mixed thoughts. First of all the cover. Ben Bates is just one of THE best artists in the comic's history. It may just be a simple shot of Sonic, but what a shot! However on the side of story, I feel a bit sad. Because I know of this old legal battle, I can tell this issue is pretty much trying to throw old story arcs under the rug, but it still leaves marks on the floor. This shows particularly with Naugus' involvement in this issue. After all this time of wanting to know what the conclusion to this Acorn King arc, the result of Naugus screaming his head off and heading for the hills all because he saw pictures of his past. But then again, looking at his past, I can see why he did that. Now obviously Sonic's world has been turned into a slightly different reality, which I'm sure will make some fans cry out "That just makes all those old stories pointless!" However, since the old continuity still counts I'm interested to see how that works, so this sci-fi element is holding up so far. It also brings quick closure to these over stretched arcs that needed ending fast and that's just what happened here. Right, now onto the pencils. Stanely has done well with this one, however there are a couple panels I look a feeling a bit perplexed at how they're designed, yet everything else hold up brilliantly with its bright colours from Austin's inks. What I particularly like about this issue, is not just short, sweet and to the point battle with Tails Doll, but that the redesigned characters are beginning to appear. NICOLE of course plays a little part in this story, (though I'm a bit sad to see her city no longer made of Nanites) but it's the return of Max that stood out. As anyone in the know about the character problem will realise Elias is no longer King or even in the story at all. Yet seeing Max so friendly and looking so young was a bit of a shocker. After all this time looking like a decrepit old man losing his marbles and behaving like a real jerk in the past is finally the nice and helpful guy for once. I may have to get used to his unusual redesign though. So as usual Flynn has penned a real mystery that I assume will lead to something big and after that little glimpse of Sally I'm more than ready for the next few issues.
  18. Ken Penders Topic...

That's not a good omen. If it's true then I really can't believe anything he says. I know they're his characters, but he seems really touchy about them, as though he allowed to write about them and no one else.
  19. Ken Penders Topic...

Sigh. He just can't let the peace flow can he? If what he says about reviewing stories is true, then Archie won't come within on hundred miles of that trip wire. The real problem is that there are so many issues that should be resolved involving his character and if they ever do return (Heaven willing) it won't be for LONG time. How saddening it is to have no conclusion to stories that had so much potential.
  20. Sonic the Hedgehog (Comic Series)

Hey guys, I've got a question for you all. What would you say are the top ten most famous events in the comic, depending on issue?
  21. Sonic #252 Early Info (POSSIBLY MAJOR SPOILERS)

Probably because that when 252 was written it was when the Penders suit was still taking place. However, if they ever continue the King Naugus arc, then Elias might be featured again.
  22. Sonic #252 Early Info (POSSIBLY MAJOR SPOILERS)

If you guys look on Sonic Stadium or Bumbleking, you'll find out all of the issue 252 spoilers, but I'll give you a quick way of explaining. [MAJOR SPOILERS) When Naugus runs off, that's all we see of him in the issue (though I don't think his story ends there). King Max returns with a new redesign. Tails remembers the crossover and the events before it. Sonic defeats the Tails Doll (bet you didn't see that one coming did ya?) and Sally is revealed to be in the Death Egg in her redesigned form. Oh and the city isn't made of Nanites anymore, but I am certain Countdown to Chaos may change some things back to normal.
  23. Sonic Universe (Comic Series)

When I read issue 55, I was expecting a lot of explosions, fire and mishaps and that's exactly what I got, but it also had some unexpected bonuses too. First off there were plenty of characters I am delighted to see again. Blaze with her emotional temperament and Bean with his overly cartoonish nature. Yardely! really knows what he's doing when writing the characters, bringing in some hilarious lines for Bean and some pretty emotional ones for Blaze as well. It was a good sight to see a good share of action in this as well, with the boat battle and the hellfire of bombs. The robot pirates were a nice touch as well, with Captain Metal proving to be quite the villain, but how has he been rebuilt after getting blown up in the first Universe arc? My suspicions lead to Eggman Nega, but you never know. On the matter of artwork I was as usual glad to see the befitting style of Yardely's! Along with Ben Bates, he does the best artwork for the comic, bringing plenty of bright colours in a dark atmosphere. Of course I have a couple problems with it. Bark was only seen for about one panel and did absolutely nothing in this issue. So far it's a good start to the arc, so I'll rate it 8.8/10. Great opening from Yardely! just a lack of Bark was my main problem.
  24. Sonic #252 Early Info (POSSIBLY MAJOR SPOILERS)

I thought it was just an English insult we use, not American.
  25. Sonic #252 Early Info (POSSIBLY MAJOR SPOILERS)

That's the thing with a lot of Sonic fans. You can never seem to satisfy them enough.
