Interesting, now they are teasing Sonic Mania Plus in the end credits of Sonic Mania Adventures, maybe we should keep an eye on that.

Bit of a long post coming, but since the topics are pretty much dead for now...
That Q&A was also full of hope. Even though that isn't definitive confirmation, this physical release shows that when Aaron says he'll pass on the message, they're actually listening. So the PC release of Christian's remasters might still happen. And Izuka saying that they have him working on something might even be this, or maybe finally Sonic 3, or even a new game ? Even though he didn't give a clear answer, when that kid asked about Sonic & Knuckles Collection music, I think that pretty much confirms why we still don't have the remaster. If you look at it, the only re-releases that include the original track were unaltered versions. The PC version was reworked, and it had different musics. So I think the licence they had is only allowed for the original build they can still release as long as it's left unaltered. A new build would require a new licence, since the track is also remastered. I don't think it would expire though, as those weren't actual licensed pre-existing songs, but specific arrangements instead, and since the original is still on Steam or in compilations, they obviously still have that license. So Sega still owns them, but at the time of licensing, who would have thought of a remaster of the game, of any game ? And since even never officially confirmed, we all know part of it is licensed from Michael Jackson's compositions, it certainly became costly like hell since his death, so don't blame SEGA saying they don't care.
Also hearing that they will reorganize the teams to work on specific type of games will definitely be better than what it was until now, different teams fighting on how to make the same type of game, only difference being if they are main games or spin-offs.
And finally, they handled that panel way better than for the 25th anniversary, so we probably can hope for more improvement in the future.

As seen in the below status I'm having issues loging into and using my account. Can anybody help me?

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the comics are back on the website yet. Don't tell me I'm the only one who noticed, that's impossible.

It's official guys, Ian Flynn is confirmed to write the IDW Sonic comics. It'll launch on April 2018 for a special event with the first four issues being released in the span of four weeks.

As a company that received our money, (and quite a lot from me when the "hiatus" started) I think they owe us at least an official statement coming directly from themselves, not others. We don't even need details, just an announcement. You may not agree with me, but in my opinion, this is a total lack of honesty. And it turns out that one of the antonyms of "honest" is "untrustworthy". Have you considered the possibility that there might be people who've read the comic that are still waiting to know if it'll continue or not ?

Then any sane company would have secured the necessary copyrights to make sure no one would come after them, that still makes them untrustworthy. And for not announcing, I mean that they still didn't say anything since Sega and IDW's announcements up to this day. Don't tell me they still don't know for sure, they're just not communicating anything as usual. Can't trust them I tell you. Unless they're still hoping to get it back, then I don't know if that's ridiculous or hilarious.

Come on Dylan, now we all know that Archie can't be trusted anymore. They could probably have settled things with Penders in a matter of hours by agreeing to pay him royalties like any sane company would, but they chose the hard way and it lasted for years. I mean, they never even announced that they lost the comic. Plus, Ian has been working for IDW since quite some time now.

I'm speechless. From this day, I don't have sympathy towards Archie anymore. Apparently, they've been suing anyone they found using the name Veronica publicly for years. Greedy douche bags, no wonder they never wanted to discuss copyrights with Penders, everything belongs to them.

Ah, glad to see this. They actually dropped the claims after discovering David Sams' was really about his daughter. Considering what other Veronica they had to face as described in the article, you kinda understand why they freaked out. And apparently I was wrong, it was just a website trademark, not a name trademark.

Nintendo destroyed E3. So much Metroid.

So, we know that Classic Sonic learned how to boost from his future self. I guess we can qualify it as a bootstrap paradox now. So, how do you think Sonic originally got the idea of that move ? Who really composed Beethoven's fifth ?

Yeah, maybe, because the Doctor didn't know the idea of the fake ghost was from his future self until he came up with the idea himself. That's probably the difference. Predestination is when the time traveler acts directly on the past in plain sight, and bootstrap is when he acts in the shadows (no pun intended), and no one else knows. Well, maybe except the Beethovens.

Skye: Because theorizing and saying for certain are different things. I actually misused "imply", sorry. Sonic will never have any official explanation or evidence for the use of time travel, so we can only use other franchises for theorizing on it. A good example of how they don't even try, and this one couldn't even be explained by another source. Elise's Emerald doesn't even count as an eighth one as the game strongly suggests in the last story that they are timeless and can't have duplicates, so how could the seven emeralds be used in any previous game if she had it for 10 years ? Even more messed up than Men in Black 3.
Dylan: I think I remember seing this kind of discussion, and I can understand your reaction.

Skye, that is due to the timelines being out of sync. You still remember some stuff, like the 10th Doctor remembering being the 5th Doctor watching his future self separate their Tardises, yet he doesn't actually remember the main event itself. Just some leftover memories, and we can imply that for Sonic, the boost is the leftover.

Different eras ? Admit it, you came up with that because you couldn't think of an answer. And it doesn't even relate to my question. XD
I don't need an explanation on the paradox, I know how those things work. I just want to know what you think would be the origin of the boost before the loop started.
