Yeah, but (some) people still liked Kirby even though he was Pink. Knuckles pink Super for didn't mean anything because he was already cool. Also, just because Shadow is the kind of character he is, doing ballet, doesn't make it amusing, and I can't see how people find that funny. Id anything, I think people accepting that more then any else Sonic Team dd is a clear Sonic of the fanbase's lost mind, after all, that's why the new game is called "lost world".

EXACTLY! If anything, both COD and Mario are overrated, and there are games of both genre's that kill those two(Unreal Tournament>COD, Sideway:New York>Mario). As far as Sonic goes, he was better then those two, but with most of the fanbase filled with X generation newbs, there are barely any casters that know Sonic for the coolness he really had, outside of the people who still recognize Sonic Adventure 2 as the great game as it was.

F dat son, dats what NINTENDO gaming is about, and I'm moving to Sony in this new generation, lmao. Really though, nice to see someone else know that Sonic is becoming too much like Mario for his own good, but that's what "the fans" wanted.

Ok, thought I lost you for a minute there, but if I can be frank for a second since he ain't here, I don;t really see what the problem would be if the games did take after the comics. Wont work? What exactly wont work? The continuity? It's screwed up in every new game anyway, and with it being as bland as a mario title, there's no point in keeping the way it is. The Sonic games REALLY need to be rebooted with a set theme just to try to get back on tracks like Cadillacs!

I think you're missing the point here, I'm not saying saying they should be exactly based on the comics(even though I'd like that), but the content should be balanced liked them. About Ratchet and Clank, even with the heavy weapons, the series is still a good example of balanced, not too series(outside of Deadlocked), but not too light either. Know what I mean? :)

Not really, I mean, the comics are a good example, and games like Sonic CD, the adventure games, Battle, and ironically, the storybook titles. If anything, Shadow and 06 are the extreme in dark and serious, while colors is the extreme in light hearted. For other examples of balanced content, look at the Ratchet and Clank games, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, and the TMNT series before the current one on Nickelodeon.

I'm not saying the games need to be like Shadow, I'm saying they need to be like the rest of the games and shows before heroes and Sonic X. You know, keep it balanced. Just because 1 game was too dark doesn't mean the opposite extreme(we have now) isn't the only option.

I'm aware of that game, I really mean, if not adding the characters and plot, try to keep a balance of both light and dark moments, not just light like in the games now. People may think it should be like that since the game is for kids, but that's why kids don't play too many E rated games in the first place, they feel they're too kiddy.

At the same time though, the Sonic series was always balanced in content, it's just that now, only the comics seem to follow that balance that made sonic so great in the precess, leaving it the only relevant example, of course, I'm mainly talking about content, gameplay is a whole other beast.
