  1. Hellsing has and always will be my most favorite anime and manga series. I liked both the old anime and Ultimate series, from the music to the art and cinematic features to the story and characters themselves. I can't wait to see if they'll be continuing with the 'Dawn' prequel in the anime and manga, not sure if they will be here's hoping.

  2. I know it makes me want to try and get into Sega once I finally get my 3-D animation degree, just to try and help make a better sonic game that would appeal to both the older and younger sides of the fanbase. And if I can't get to the games then i'd definitely love to get my hands on re-making the SatAM cartoons at least.

  3. System Shock 2

I finally took the time to finish SS2, and I will tell you that it was easily the most difficult yet interesting game I've ever played. As far as I know, I'm one of the only people in my social circle to actually complete the game and I think I shaved off a few years of my lifespan doing it. The game is very difficult if you don't go in with a proper strategy, most of the late game requires you to have certain skills which takes modules, and they are NOT easy to find so you have to spend them wisely. It certainly is better compared to the first System Shock which has one of the most difficult UI systems I've ever had to deal with. I know it was made before my time but SS1 is definitely the most confusing and hardest to play and navigate. SS2 was improved by leaps and bounds compared to it's predecessor, but it's definitely not a pushover when it comes to difficulty.

The whole campaign took me about two week's worth of downtime (which was about 5-6 hours at a time per day) and I can't count how many times I've died or had to restart a campaign because I didn't pick the right class or per-determined points to start with not to mention I've sometimes spent too many modules in skills I didn't need for the right moment in-game. But, the music and story was definitely awesome, I even updated the graphics and character models using fan created mods which are very impressive. The game was definitely scary and unnerving, which gives testament to how well it's aged despite being a few decades old.

All in all, it was a great game and I encourage others to give it a try if they have the patience, especially with a few of the graphic and model mods to enhance the experience.

  4. I was actually really confused about that coupling in the light universe, but that analysis does make sense. Too bad we'll never see what caused it or how it happened thanks to the Genesis Wave. Wonder if they'll make another future saga, it'd be interesting to see how much the possible future will change thanks to the removal of certain key characters.

  5. I read that the XBOX 360 was the buggiest of the versions, not sure if that's the copy you have since the one I had was for the PS3. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that they hyped the game so much and rushed it out to the public then the game might've had a chance to be something very special. At least the best thing to come out of this game was the music, it was well composed and was a saving grace. Too bad that it was for this monstrosity of a game.

  7. I personally like the new comics, not to say I don't like the Pre-Genesis Wave comics, but this honestly feels like a fresh new take on the Archie Comics whilst still keeping their old charm. True it doesn't feel as big as the old comics which ran for a decades, but that's a given seeing as the Genesis Wave comics are still new and we haven't seen all there is to this new universe. I do miss some of the old characters which will probably never return, but I am starting to like the newer characters as well. They brought back some of the elements of the old media, AoStH, SatAM, the older Sonic Games and revitalized them with a fresh new take. I have a feeling these new comics will gain more popularity as time goes on and we get to explore what the creators have to offer.

  8. Sega doesn't have a clue what to do with Sonic.  After all, they followed Generations with Lost World, and they tried rebooting with Boom when most fans would be happy with remakes with Sonic Adventure 1+2

I think it's hard because they've tried plenty of times to deviate from the original formula to make the new Sonic games feel fresh and innovative to a new age audience, with new gimmicks and unnecessary additions, but it's deviated so far from the old games that it's turned away it's older audience, and it's hard trying to please both at the same time.

Honestly though, A Sonic Adventure remake with better graphics and more stable gameplay would be a blessing for them. It would not only give the older audience a chance to relive their favorite moments with the power of new age game software and the younger players a chance to see how sonic games used to feel like but without the rather badly-aged graphics and somewhat buggy gameplay.

  9. I've actually bought the game a few ears ago in a bargain bin, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that I was paying way too much when I bought it. You see, I hadn't really stuck with the new games all that much and that last new game I played was Sonic Heroes, so when I saw a copy of Sonic 06' in the bargain bin I got curious and decided to play with it since I haven't heard much of it outside a few comments about how long the time to load was and how buggy it played.

So, I brought it over to one of my friend's place to play it with him, figured it would be a decent change from our usual stuff, and I feel so bad putting him through that experience. The loading screens were the bane of my existence, every few minutes the game would load, have a quick character conversation, load again, then the mission could start. I didn't know that the game didn't automatically save on it's own like most of the other new sonic games of the past, until I ended wiping out at the first Act in Sonic's campaign mode and had to start the game all over again from the intro cutscene. Needless to say, I ended breaking my friend's extra controller and I had to get him a new one. I played all the way up to finishing Silver, but never managed to finish Sonic's campaign mode and to be honest I didn't wanna bother with it as I brought it back to the store for a refund.

In the end, I say the game is absolute garbage and the developers should have spent more time developing this rushed out train wreck.
