(OOC: Oh god, now there's a disaster waiting to happen. xD)
-
"It's sure seeming like it's going to be one we'll never forget."
-
"You guys seem to get into some very interesting adventures."
-
Runic followed the others, laughing at Seviper's plight.
-
"How do you make things without any hands?" Runic asked curiously.

I suppose it could be possible. But something happening in each of our Zones that just happens to send us to the same spot in space and time? There's more to this than just a random power surge. “That may be,” Runic stated. “But it should most certainly be considered as a possibility. The universe works in strange ways.” Eh... Um.. Me and Sally and Knuckles are childhood friends.. and we met Espio and Vector and others later on.. so I kind of automatically became part of the Chaotix.. Makes also sense since I live on Angel Island.. For now at least.. “So you live on Angel Island in your Zone too? Hmm, I’m sure that’s been an interesting life.” Maybe our zones and times our somehow connected or something. “Maybe. Or, maybe our zones combined into one? I’ve heard of that happening.” We might have to cause a little bit of.....damage. ... Should I be worried about him? Runic eyed the giant purple snake. “Personally, I would. But that’s just me.” You do know I can sort of like.. hear your thoughts? The blue-furred wolf did a double-take. “Did you say you could hear thoughts? You haven’t been hearing mine, have you?” N-no offense... But I-I r-really don't like t-the idea of s-someone l-listening in. “Yeah, I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t blame him for feeling like that.” It actually happens even if I don't mean to listen others thoughts.. I'm kind of like some sort of radio or transmitter... “Isn’t there a way to, uh, turn it off? Some people might have secrets they don’t want others to know,” Runic stated, rubbing an area behind one of his ears. I mean I guess it's because I'm not really a Mobian either.. The canine shot her a bewildered look, his mouth screwed to one side. “You… look like one to me. Is there something you’re not telling us?” My heads metal. A bucket won't add much. But a blocker might... or... maybe.... I could just switch on the music playing in my head and that might block it? Music playing in your head? “What music?” Runic wondered, tilting his head to one side. Yeah, I've got a music playing program in my head Danny “So wait,” Runic began, raising a finger. “You have a metal head and you can play music inside it. Does that mean…” here the wolf hesistated before continuing. “That you’re a robot?” “I should have kept my mouth shut, shouldn’t I?

I… suppose it’s possible, though in this Zone the Emeralds have no will of their own. Someone would need to focus their energy. Runic rubbed his chin, his tail lightly twisting around in a small circle. “Yeah, but what if it was the emeralds in our own respective zones? I know it seems like a bit of a stretch, but I could be possible.” “Um… yeah… I met him once when he fell off from Eggman’s flying base… and I stopped his fall with my powers and he landed safely on Angel Island. And so we became friends. I already knew Sally though.” The wolf tilted his head to the side. “And where do you know Sally from?” Eggman.. I’ll beat the cholesterol out of him! It’s not that easy Seviper. Otherwise it'd be done by now. “He does have a valid point,” Runic told the snake. “Eggman had held an iron grip on the planet for years, at least in the zone I come from. Yeah, the Freedom Fighters have been great help and he doesn’t have near as much power as he had before. But he’s still quite a threat nonetheless.” I wouldn’t say I’m famous or anything… Just part of the Chaotix that’s all. “Okay, okay!” Runic began, slowly moving his hands up and down. “First you say you know Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn, and now you say you’re a member of the Chaotix? How did you manage that?” I'm surprised anyone here's alive just hearing you all Runic shook his head. “You should hear about some of the things I’ve gotten into! Being an archeologist has its… perks.”

Well, if you want a very bad answer to what is going one here, Somehow a group of us have converged from different Zones and time periods. Which has created an energy spike, which the Eggman from this Zone and time detected and sent robots to investigate. Runic tilted his head to the side, one ear flopped forward. “An energy spike? Do you think the Chaos Emeralds might have something to do with it? Maybe they brought us here. Wouldn’t surprise me any.” And Eggman isn't in CNZ, don;t worry about that Runic. The purple-eyed wolf let out a sigh of relief. “I don’t know how you know that, but if you’re right, than thank goodness!” He lightly touched a spot on his sword and it suddenly transformed into a golden ring with a series of runes around it’s surface. He slipped it on his right wrist. Oh again against Eggman… Always Eggman… Well better than fighting Darkness I guess. Runic scratched his head. “Who is this ‘Darkness’?” “He sounds like no one you’d want to mess with, that’s for sure.” Probably some evil, powerful god-like being. Every Zone seems to have at least one. The wolf nodded, crossing his arms over his chest. “That’s probably true, Skye. At least as far as I’ve heard.” Well he himself doesn’t do much… but one scratch from his claw and he can control your body and mind. Runic shook his head. “Yeah, I really hope we don’t encounter this guy.” And really, it's fine. At least you tried to cheer me up which was more than enough. I mean.. It at least wasn't as bad as Sonic trying to cheer me up… Runic looked at her in disbelief. “You know Sonic? Sonic the Hedgehog?”
-
When Skye went stiff, Runic recoiled in surprise, his eyes wide and his ears standing staight off his head. The wolf looked at him, then turned to the others. “Hey, uh, shouldn’t we be worried about him?” Why do I still think this might all be my fault in some way...? “I’m sure none of this is your fault, Vivian. And even if it was, I’m sure you didn’t mean it! Um… wait, that came out wrong, didn’t it? Shoot.” Runic’s ears drooped to the side and he slowly backed away. Maybe the robots think were clams with arms! And that's why they're attacking us! Runic crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. “Er, I really don’t think that’s the reason.” I still can't get used to that. Although I know that's only temporary but... Runic tilted his head. “This has happened before? What’s happening to him then?” He’ll be okay. “Well, that’s certainly a relief, Danny,” the wolf stated, a small smile on his muzzle. Suddenly, Skye sprang upright – Runic jumped to the side, surprised that he was. The wolf quickly recovered and ran to the young fox, a myriad of questions flooding his mind – was he okay? What had happened? Was this something that happened often? Did he have any idea what the next course of action the group should take? Skye? Did you find anything useful information? At Vivian’s question, the fox answered as such; Yeah, I did. These aren’t CNZ robots. They're straight from Eggman. Runic let out a gasp. “You mean to tell me that Eggman’s here?” He pointed to the ground to help punctuate his words, one ear flopped forward. “In Casino Night Zone?” Yeah. He snuck some robots into CNZ to hunt for whatever was causing some strange energy spike. Aka, us! Runic slapped a paw to the side of his head, his purple eyes as wide as saucers. “Then what should we do now?” It means we should try and get out of CNZ as soon as we can! “But where would we even go?” the blue-furred wolf pressed, growing worried about the whole situation. Maybe we should go to my place... At Danny’s suggestion, Runic gave a nod. “Well, if you’re offering, then it sounds good to me.” You're.. Coming with us right? “Of course!” the wolf told Vivian. “Maybe we can all talk about what’s going on and maybe figure out a way to get some answers here!”

As he had done before, Runic touched the rune closest to the hilt of his sword. The white glow slowly surrounded the blade and once it had reached the tip, the wolf quickly thrust the weapon forward. The blade of light traveled straight to one of the robots. Sparks flew in many directions as metal and wires were sliced through. Runic brushed a lock of head fur out of his eyes. “That’s one down!” Out of the corner of his purple eyes, the canine noticed one of the robots aiming right for Seviper. Providentially for the giant snake, Vivian quickly pulled him out of the way. However, it was than that Seviper suddenly tore the robot apart, much to the surprise of Runic. The wolf took a sudden step back in order to avoid getting hit by a stray arm. “Whoa! Watch it with that!” Thankfully, Seviper seemed to calm down rather quickly – his use of a robot arm as a backscratcher was something that Runic found a tad amusing, admittedly. I think I should dive into these bot's mainframes. See if I can find out what they're after and why. “Sounds good to me. I wonder why they were all attacking us.”

What kind of temple? For fear of coming across as rude, Runic didn’t want to say that Vivian looking right at him unnerved him slightly. To the wolf, it always felt like people who looked at others right in the eyes could see one’s deepest thoughts at secrets. As he tried to stay his tongue, the canine ryhtymmicatially tapped his head in thought. “It was the temple in the Mystic Ruins. My… partner and I were going to study it – I’m an acheologist you see, it’s kinda what I do.” At the word ‘partner, Runic trailed off. He hadn’t even thought about what had she was going through. Feeling guilty about not thinking about her before, the wolf hoped that she wasn’t too worried about him. “So, anyway, I elect to climb up the steps first. Clumsy me, I end up loosing my balance and falling off. And the next thing I know, I’m in the alleyway of this very city.” He scratched his ear. “Come to think of it, this is Casino Night Zone isn’t it? It seems different from what I remember.” Runic pointed to a building off in the distance. “For instance, I certainly don’t remember that skyscraper over there.” Hearing Seviper and Vivian’s own stories, Runic felt glad that he wasn’t alone in all this – and that at least those two couldn’t consider him crazy like others might. “Well, something strange is certainly going on around here.” "I believe I haven't introduced myself to our new friend. I am Sir Hank Seviper. Don't call me sir or Hank, just Seviper.” “Well, good to meet you then, Seviper. Good to meet all of you,” Runic replied, crossing his arms and nodding in greeting. “Though I still want to know what’s with the lack of arms and legs, Seviper.” Well since we're all confessing something new here then I guess I should tell my full name is Vivian "Venus" The Hedgehog! Please don't laugh at me... Runic and the others noted how embarassed she seemed of the name. The blue-furred wolf approached her, trying to comfort her. “Hey, uh, ‘Venus’ isn’t a bad name. In fact its, uh, rather unique.” His ears drooped off to the sides. “Ugh, I was never good at comforting people. I bet I sound so foolish right now.” Er... my name's Skye. Runic turned to face the fox. Something about him was nagging at the wolf. “Skye, there’s something about you that seems familiar. I can’t put my finger on where, but I swear I’ve seen you somewhere before.” Looks like those robots weren’t alone. Runic looked in the direction Serviper was pointing. He heaved a sigh and brushed back a tuff of head fur. “Well. Guess we’ll have to stop these guys too.” The wolf pulled out his runesword. “Here goes.”
-
So... w-why were they after you? The robots in CNZ don't usually attack on sight. Runic rubbed the back of his neck. A look of confusion crossed his face. "Beats me. What I want to know is, what I'm even doing here. The last thing I remember, I was at this old temple..."
-
To be or not to be! Haha! Runic raised an eyebrow at the snake-like creature playing with a decapitated robot head. To him, this one seemed to be especially eccentric. He wondered just what kind of creature he was, for the was no way he could be a Mobian like the other three. Hi there Runic, I'm Skye. Those were... some p-pretty impressive m-moves.... The wolf rubbed the back of his neck. "Nice to meet you. And yeah, they were pretty nice I suppose," he said with an awkward smile.
-
After spinning for a few seconds, the wolf shot forward like a bullet from a gun. A fluorescent beam of light trailed behind him as he headed towards a robot. When he made contact with the badnik, the canine was able to force himself through it's body, taking it down. As the robot fell behind him with a loud clang, the wolf landed on the asphalt in a crouching position, as if getting ready to move in for another attack. Um... Hi. The blue-furred Mobian turned around and found himself face to face with a young hedgehog. "Oh. Hey there." My name is Vivian The Hedgehog. May I ask your name? And if you are a friend or a foe? "Me?" the wolf asked, pointing at himself. "I'm Runic. Runic the Wolf. And I would hope I'm a friend..." he replied, not sure if he should trust these Mobians - though one of them sure didn't look quite the part - or not.
-
The light having dissipated from his sword, the wolf touched the rune in the middle. Once again, the ruin began to glow, but this time with a pale blue light. Once the entire sword had taken on the same glow, he leapt into the air. The canine once again curled into a ball, but this time he held the bladed weapon out to the side. Still in mid-air, he began to spin around incredibly fast, looking for all the world like a car tire revving up. The glow from his sword began to travel around his body, giving him the very same light blue hue.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2019 Movie)
HollyYoshi replied to Shadow's topic in Multiverses of Sonic the Hedgehog
I'm still skeptical. Live action movies based on cartoons and games have rarely worked all that well. -
3... 2... 1... NOW! At Skye's shout and the barrier dropping, the wolf broke into a swift run. His destination, the group of robots just in front of them. As he moved, he gripped the black hilt of his sword and pulled. The weapon was released from it's scabbard with a sharp hiss, the silver blade gleaming in the sunlight. There was a series of three runes running down the length of the blade on - here the wolf lightly touched the one closest to the hilt. The rune shone with a bright white light and slowly the illumination began to spread down the length of the blade. Still running, the wolf thrust the sword up and forward, causing a beam of energy to shoot out. Shaped like a large blade, it headed right for one of the robots. The badnik had little time to react as the blade cut through it like a knife to butter.
-
The wolf had only run a little ways when he heard something metal crashing into the robots with a loud clang! His ears perked up and his eyes widened as the sound reverberated around him. He skid to a stop, turning around in the process. It was then that he was met with the sight of the small group. A green barricade had formed right before them, to block the robots the wolf had figured. The canine took a small step forward, a look of disbelief etched on his face. "Where did they come from? And... and that fox. I swear I've seen him before, but he seems different from what I recall," he thought, taking special notice of Skye, who seemed to be the one creating the barrier. The wolf shook his head. "Bah. Nevermind that. I should help them out...." The blue-furred Mobian pawed at the belt on his waist. Relief flooded his face when his fingers touched the hilt of his sword. "Good. At least I'm not going to be unarmed."
-
This was not what the wolf had been expecting when he woke up that morning - in the alleyway of a strange city, surrounded by robots. The canine took a step back, his purple eyes as wide as saucers. One of the robots aimed a laser gun straight for him, prompting the young Mobian to recoil back with a gasp. He raised his hands in front of his chest in a placating matter. "Listen, I don't want any trouble from any of you, alright?" The squeeze of a trigger was all it took and a fluorescent red light was shot forth from the gun's barrel. The wolf was quick to react, however. He leapt down, the rough asphalt scrapping against his fur and clothes - it was far better a situation to be in than having a smoldering hole in one's body. The young canine looked up to see that the other badniks had brought out their own weapons. He let out a sigh. "Well. I guess I have no choice." The wolf curled himself into a tight ball. He rolled in one place for a few seconds, before shooting forward like a bullet from a gun. His spindash couldn't cut through enemies as most others could, but it was still powerful enough to knock a few of the robots flying as he barreled into them. One of them crashed into the wall of a nearby building, sparks flying from it's body at the impact. The wolf spun himself back into a standing position. He took one glance at the robots before running off. The soles of his gray and blue boots pounding against the pavement, gray coat waving behind him, he ran past where Skye and the others were.
-
Elsewhere in the city, a lone wolf lay in the middle of an alleyway. The young canine was facedown, his nose pressing into the hard asphalt surface. There was naught a single hair moving anywhere on his body, which could have easily led those that were passing by mistake him as dead. A fly buzzed about the alley, seeking a place to rest tired wings. The insect landed on the very tip of the wolf's ear, giving off a fleeting buzz as it touched down. It wouldn't get long to rest, however, as the Mobian's ear twitched; the first bit of movement he had done in a long time. The fly was thrown off and flew away to find someplace to land that would stay still. The wolf groaned as he came to, his sight a misty haze he cracked open his eyes. He let out a groan and pressed gray-gloved hands against his the side of his head. "Ugh, I must have taken a rather bad fall - I've got quite the headache." Slowly, the young wolf stood up, his vision still somewhat blurry. He brushed some of the dirt from his midnight blue fur coat and the dark gray jacket he was wearing. "Well, I seem to be relatively uninjured. Better get back to-" It was at that moment when he realized where he was; in a dark, unfamiliar alleyway of a city. The thing was, he didn't remember ever being in a city when he blacked out. In fact, the last thing he remembered was being in an ancient temple, searching for some lost treasure. He didn't have time to ponder what had happened to led him here, however. For he had far bigger problems. Namely, the small group of robots that were pointing their blasters right at him. "Oh... shoot...."

Green Hill Zone. By far one of the most iconic gaming levels of all time. Debuting in the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis in 1991, it was the first experience many fans had with the series. Representing the tropical level trope, it is a colorful, picturesque level that boasts palm trees, totem poles, rotating flowers, large waterfalls, and most famously, brown checkered soil. Obstacles include not only the series’ iconic shuttle loops, but spikes, collasping platforms, swings, and rotating poles with spikes on them. Some of Eggman’s most iconic Badnicks appear in this level, including Motobug, Crabmeat, and Buzzbomber. Future Sonic games would feature levels similar to Green Hill. These include Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic 2, Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes, and Windy Hill from Sonic Lost World. However, Sonic 1 would not be the last time people traversed through Green Hill itself, as the level has had several iterations over the years. These include; Sonic the Hedgehog (8-bit) Unlike most versions of this level, this Game Gear iteration contains a few underwater sections in Act 2. These can be found in a cave area. Otherwise, it is similar to other versions. Sonic Blast This version is unique in that it seems more ‘realistic’ and less ‘cartoony’ than what people expect of Green Hill Zone – instead of the iconic checkered landscape, it settles for a more natural look to it. Sonic Adventure 2 Unlocked by collecting all 180 emblems, this marks the first time the level has appeared in 3D. It is near identical in layout to the classic Sonic 1 iteration of the stage. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood Presented with an isometretic view fitting for an RPG, Chronicles’ Green Hill Zone is a bit more realistic than as seem in most other games, but still shares a few of the more cartoony features of past games, like the checkerboard soil. Sonic Generations Green Hill Zone was one of the levels from past Sonic games to be remade for the 20th anniversary game. While it is based primarily on the level from the original game, it also shares a few elements from other levels in the series. The most notable of these are the corkscrews that appeared in Sonic 2’s Emerald Hill Zone. In the 3DS version of the game however, Act 1 is identical to the iteration of Green Hill Zone in Sonic 1. With all these different versions, there is probably that one people like the best out of all of them. For me, I’d have to place Generations’ as my favorite, with that preference going to Act 1 in the console version of the game. For one thing, the level looks positively gorgeous! Sonic Generations ran on the Hedgehog Engine used in Unleashed and Darn if it doesn’t show here; Look at that lighting people. Bathe in its beauty. I’m of the belief that, visually, the series works best with a style I’d like to call ‘cartoony realism’, for lack of a better term. And this is one of those stages that best represents what I like to see in the games. The stage is highly detailed, but without sacrificing any sense of abstractness – it’s a nice balance that I find works well here. The overall layout and level design is lovely as well, and is among one of my favorite in the game. There’s a good balance of both speed and platforming, fitting for such a character as Sonic. So, Sonic SCANF, what version of Green Hill Zone do you prefer? Are you one of those that believes you can’t go wrong with the original? Do you find SA2’s to be a fitting reward for all your hard work in the game? Or do you agree with me and love Generations ' rendition? Maybe you like one I didn't list on here. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts. =)

Eve patted Dominic on the head. "So, where do you all live now?"
-
"Ah, I understand now. That must have been hard to deal with," Eve told Harmony.
-
Eve arched an eyebrow. "You... don't want to go home again?"
-
Eve's ears drooped to the side. "Ah, I'm sorry to hear you all can't get home."
