Anyone play Shmups?

I enjoy action platformers like Sonic (and Megaman), but when I feel like playing something a bit more challenging, I turn to Shoot 'Em Ups, or Shmups. Personally, I like all shmups, but right now I'm into Touhou (My whole channel has Touhou stuff due to lack of good stuff to upoload). Maybe I like shhmups because it makes me feel like I'm skilled. Anyone else played this genre before?

Here's my brother's run. It's a bit quiet, so turn up the volume if you want to hear the beautiful Touhou music.
