"C-Crap!" Arek got shot at point blank and was quickly knocked down to the ground. His eyesight went blurred as he witnessed the darn robot flying away from him again.
He felt immerse pain running down his body, but he knew he could not let such pain stop him, not this easily. Arek grinded his teeth as he struggled to get up.
Soon he finally recovered his feet. Admittedly he had some guts left in him, but at such rate, his plan was going to be either sink or swim. He swung his sword backward and threw it at the robot's back, specifically its jet booster, at full strength!
Though weaponless, Arek started running and following his blade.
Seeing Chi dropping to the ground did not make the injured Arek feel relieved in the slightest. There's something weird about that robot: how it react to the attacks so quickly and how it recovered from attacks so fast. He knew if he kept this on, he would only got him and the twin at a disadvantage. He would not want to make the same mistake again.
Arek ran along the building toward Chi and jump kick the wall for the highest possible height. He was now significantly above the robot. He did not care anymore if Chi would fire at him again, as long as he could pull this out.
"I'm not going to lose now! My shield is also my weapon!" Said the young man as he raised his left arm high and backward. He then quickly threw the shield from his left hand!
...But it wasn't aiming at Chi, not at all.
Instead, the shield flied toward Coda, or rather, anywhere near him: This was a desperate attempt to get the red robot to notice their positions and therefore allow more supports. As the shield got stuck down the ground, he started speaking as loud as he could.
"You there, the red one! This idiot robot over here has been aiming a gun at you!". said he to Coda, "We are allies with the Freedom Fighters! Princess Sally; Nicole Lynx; Sonic the Hedgehog; we know them all! We and they are on your side!!"
"I'm not a kid, sir! I'm-" As Arek was about to clearify his age to the blue hedgehog, he noticed Chi trying to move away.
"Oh no, you don't!" Arek dashed toward the robot as fast as he could and was able to land near it. Putting all his strength in his sword, he swiped his weapon low, hoping to knock Chi's legs down to the ground.
One reason I refuse to draw anthropomorphic characters with human's scale. She looks jarring as heck.
If I were Penders, I would have abandoned Lara and created new settings and characters altogether, especially if I'm serious about selling new works. Doing so would avoid copyright and provide an opportunity to expand the story and characters at the same time. There are whole lot different ways to twist the plot and keeps it from being called a ripoff, after all.
I like Amy's depiction of her crush in the comic series, much less jarring and more understandable, especially since they're all friends in an important mission. Speaking of which, Genesis Wave probably drops SonAlly for good. Not that I mind.
Sticks the Badger is clearly designed based on Marine the Raccoon, having the simillar colors, simillar personalities, similar roles, but being placed in different settings as different characters. Stick's appearance is likely to be built as an attempt to create different a slightly character, either to pay a homage toward the preceding character, to either avoid copyright, or to avoid ruining the original character.
You see these types of similarity all the time in anime and cartoon: like Kenshiro & Jonathan Joestar (similar builds and shirts), Homer & Peter (Similarly loser fathers), two different Rainbow Dash (same namesake) and countless mask-wearing Char Aznable look-alike and many Shana & Loiuse archetype of the loli-teenger heroines with furious tempers. Sometimes, the similarities are being generated from two or more different characters. According to Sonic News Network, Stick seems to be a fusion dance between Marine and the boomerang-using treasure huntress named Aika from Skies of Arcadia.
TV Trope lists such similar characters as 'Expy' (exported character). You can read the following article for more detail: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Expy
Arek got slightly alerted when he heard the word 'anomaly'. The term was, if he was noit mistaken, used to descibe someone with an unwanted attribute or quality... something not up to standard. Simply hearing such word caused him to unknowing grind his teeth.
The manacing air have begun to surround the battlefield as the situation waited for somebody to make a move.
"S-Some action? He's more hotheaded than I thought.", whispered Arek to himself. Despite that, he was quite ready for anything violent himself. He reached to his back for his short sword, and started scanning his eyes for whoever he is supposed to side with.
"Those people... aren't they the Freedom Fighters?", said him as he has noticed a few iconic figures from the distance. He had been seeing them in the newspaper - especially the lynx who was always dressed exotically in purple. He could easily notice them.
@Mikey, You shouldn't be shy to show what you're capable of. The point of a forum topic like this, in my opinion, is to show off users' talents and skills in arts. Think of it as a motivation. You post what you draw and contribute for others to admire and discuss, allowing you to practice your skills, get better, and gain more friends in the forums and the fandoms. It's a plus-plus benefit in this regard.
"Then, let's go! Onward to our adventure!" Said Arek as he jumped on ahead.and tried to lead the way.
But suddenly, he stopped dead.
"Err... How do we get to New Mobotropolis again?" Said him nervously as herealized he forgot his map and didn't know much about the direction. He gave his new friends a dry smile and slightly sweated, What an embarrassing moment for him.
"Wuah!" Said Arek in a surprised. Just looking at Omega's shiny augment tells him that they are very well maintained, yet the guns speak of their overwhiming power. While he's amazed, he was also gladful those guns weren't firing at him, then and now.
"So,... when we'll be going?" Continued Arek, as he asked the two foxes.
(Ooc: How do we switch map again? Asking just to be sure.)
"Umm... Can I go with you, too?" Interrupted Arek.
If these people were really going to meet the famous Freedom Fighters, maybe he could get a chance to do something rather than doing all these boring jobs he had been doing. It'd be also his chance to see the world even more. Surely, Seera would chew him out of this, but who cares? In fact, he would excuse it as a job request! What a smart person he was! Thought Arek as he unknowingly gave away a big grin to the others.
