  1. Casino Night Zone: Vector & Rouge + Police Chief Hoppington

Rouge drops down in a nearby alley, away from the fighting as she sets down Tekno

"She should be safe here while I grab the others." Rouge says to herself before taking off back to the action. As she flys away, Gamma slowly emerges from behind a wall, ensuring the coast is clear. He quickly walks over to grab the Canary before proceeding back to his pod.

"Target acquired. Returning to flagship." he sends out to the robot forces, as well as Dr. Robotnik.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back in the main square, the robot wave was now pushing heavily to which it began overpowering the resisting forces. Vector was backed up in a hole, shielding as much of the stun blasts as he could from the unconscious Chief. Rouge drops in next to him as she attempts to pick up the police commander.

"This isn't looking good, we're gonna have to find a way out!" she yells to Vector, struggling to pick up Hoppington. Vector looks over and grabs the Chief, tossing him over his shoulder.

"Looks like it, EVERYONE FALL BACK! Follow me for an escape route!" Vector calls to everyone else fighting as he keeps the bot metal in hand, shielding himself as he follows Rouge away from the incoming forces. Having to hope everyone is able to follow behind them, they dash out the city center and into theside roads, following back towards where Rouge hid Tekno. A few of the police force were able to follow, but many ended up falling to the robots relentless waves of stun blasts.

"She's right over here in this al-" Rouge leads before stopping in front of the empty ally way.

"W-what, no way. I left her right here. No one was around." Rouge darts back and forth in a panic.

"Given the events prior, she didn't seem like an ordinary bird." Vector assures her. "Odds are we'll meet up again outside the city, but we have to keep moving. Everyone, come on." he calls to the small crowd of remaining officers that managed to catch up with them.

Angel Island: Knuckles, Tikal, and Storm

Knuckles dashes through the forest as Tikal and Storm follow close behind. He pushes past all the bushes and low hanging leaves before Tikal finally catches up to grab his arm.

"Knuckles, WAIT! You can't just expect to go face to face with Chaos, he's a God of Destruction for a reason" she pleads, slowing him down before he finally stops.

"What else are we supposed to do then? We need the pieces of the Master Emerald, and we need to stop him before he finds any of the Chaos Emeralds." Knuckles complains as Storm finally catches up to the two.

"H-h-how did you...manage to catch up t-to him so fast?" Storm asks Tikal, panting from trying to keep up. Tikal takes a slight step back, thinking of an answer, before the three here a rustle in the bushes. They immediately tense up, looking all around from the cause of the sound.

"Looks like it's brining the fight to us." Knuckles says, pounding his fists together. Suddenly, the ground begins to shake violently as a loud crash is heard all across the island, knocking the three off their feet.

"What in the world?" Storm comments, helping up Tikal.

"I think..." Tikal begins, before her eyes widen in fear. "We reached the mainland."

  2. Winged Fortress: Gamma

"Understood, Doctor Robtonik." Gamma repleis as he quickly rushes out the door and to the nearest pod. He gets in and sets course to be ejected out towards Casino Night Zone.

"That was too close," he thinks to himself. "Further analysis must be taken after I retrieve the Canary and remove any suspicion the Doctor has on me."

Casino Night Zone: Vector & Rouge + Police Chief Hoppington

Vector tried as he could to shield the Canary and Chief from the barrage of Robot fire, however after watching Tekno get struct, he couldn't hold out any longer.

"Rouge! I need your help!" he calls out as he turns the metal scrap sideways and throws it towards the robots. "You have to get the Chief and bird out of here! I'll hold them off."

One of the robots beams hits Vector in the arm, however he grits his teeth and slams it to the ground as he shakes it off.

"Heh, understood sweetie." Rouge replies with a wink as she spins around to swoop in. Vector charges forward to distract the robots the too get to work.

"Hey Bee, Squirrel guy! How you too holding up!?" Vector calls out as he slams into the robot lines of attack.

    ------------------

Within a few moments, a few blocks down from the main strike force, Gammas pod slams down into the street intersection as he gets out and begins scanning.

"Target......acquired." he spots as he sees Rouge in the distance carrying the nearly unconscious Tekno away from the fight.

Angel Island: Knuckles, Tikal, & Storm

"W-wait, I'm not here to harm anyone!" Storm pleads, holding his hand out towards Knuckles.

"Then what ARE you doing here, and how did you get on this island?" Knuckles persists, however Tikal quickly jumps out to stop him.

"Knuckles hold on.." she tries to calm him down. "We're sorry for startling you, but you don't appear to be familiar with Angel Island, and look very distressed. May I ask where you came from?"

Storm slowly lowers his arm and stands up, staring at Knuckles and Tikal for a moment before walking cautiously towards them.

"M-my people, we were attacked by an army of robots and my sister and I were separated during a large explosion. I had lost consciousness, and when I awoke I found myself on this...island. While walking around trying to find out were I was, I saw a strange creature made of water and I ran until I stumbled upon this place.

"Chaos.." Tikal says in fear. Knuckles looks to her and then steps up towards Storm.

"Where did you see the water creature?" he asks. Storm turns and points back out into the jungle from where he came, and before he could turn back to speak, Knuckles begins running in that direction.

"K-Knuckles, wait! Oh no, come on, we have to stop him." Tikal tells Storm as she grabs his arm and drags him along after Knuckles.

"But I don't want to have anything to do with that thing again!" Storm pleads.

"If left alone, it will find you again sooner or later." Tikal warns.

  3. Casino Night Zone: Vector & Rouge + Police Chief Hoppington

Chief Hoppingon quickly notices the Swat Bots take aim at Tekno as she tried to tend to the injured and dashed toward her.

"Look out!" he yells as he leaps in the way of the incoming stun beams. Hitting him as he protect the Canary.

"Chief!" Vector calls out, ripping a metal plate off a fallen bot as he follows after the Cheif and blocks the rest of the beams. Rouge takes hte opportunity of the focused fire to drive a drilling kick through the heads of the bots firing on them in the meantime.

    Angel Island: Knuckles & Tikal

"According to these hieroglyphics," Tikal begins. "Chaos was a warrior deity that the Echidna race worshiped greatly. However through constant struggle amongs tribes, they had ended up angering Chaos to a point in which he felt the world would be better off without them. Thus, by combing the power of the seven chaos Emeralds, Chaos achieved a disastrous form that resembled a serpent and flooded the world in attempt to reset the natural balance. For what few survived, they worked tirelessly to create the Master Emerald, the only jewel powerful enough to nullify the Chaos Emeralds. Then when that same power, they had sealed Chaos away inside of it for all eternity."

"Until now," Knuckles added in with a deep gulp.

"Indeed, from what you told me, it would seem the surviving Echidna tribes assigned one family line to look after the Master Emerald to the end of time, which was your own. Now with the Master Emerald broken and Chaos free'd, I fear it may now continue its goal in obtaining the seven Chaos Emeralds and purging the world with another great flood to restore balance. We'll have to-" Tikal goes on, before stopping to listen.

"Something is apporaching," she warns, as her and Knuckles take cover behind some fallen walls. Moments later, a large Albatross comes sprinting from the jungles into the ruined areas. He stands wide eyed at the sight, before turning back to look behind him in a panic, and then proceeds walking forward with caution.

"Who is that?" Tikal whispers over to Knuckles, who shrugs in response. "I see, maybe we ca-" she goes on, formulating a plan. However Knuckles did not wait before leaping out himself.

"STOP! Who are you and what are you doing here?" he calls out to Storm, who trips back startled by his appearance.

    Winged Fortress: Gamma

Gamma felt slightly upset about all of the praise Dr. Robtonik was giving to his brothers Omega and Beta, as well as Sister Zero, whilst his only response on his mission was disappointment, Eager to be included, he unthinkingly took a loud step forward, making a loud clanking sound on the floor. Gamma paused in shock, remembering that action without orders would not be a proper function, thus causing him to freeze in place. He began to think of all the times the Doctor had ever begun to sweat and started processing if this was the emotions he felt, because if it were and robots were capable of such a thing, Gamma would be sweating all his coolant out right now.

  4. Pokemon Research Centre- Scabbard Town

Tony continues to admire Turtwig as Amora looks back at the professor.

"I have to speak with the professor about something real quick," she says looking back to Tony as she started walking. "This may be the best time while everyones getting situated with their new pokemon."

Tony gives her a nod as he continues to play with Turtwig. Amora then walks over to professor Pine, hoping to grab his attention.

  5. Casino Night Zone: Vector

Vector leaps out the crater, towards Elias and starts giving his all at the robots, not holding back on his punches as he tears throw their metal. As he takes another bite out of one, he looks up to see the hoard of robots making their way towards the city center towards them. He freezes for a moment in hesitation as a robot tries to blind side him before having its chest drilled out from behind as Rouge spirals in front of Vector.

"That hesitations the same reason you haven't been able to catch me yet, sugar," she says to him as she swings a small brown bag over her shoulder.

"W-what are you ding here??" Vector asks in confusion.

"The same thing I always do,"she replies with a wink. "But these robots have started to become quite a pain for me. How bout you and the boys call off the hunt for me in exchange for my help?"

"That's not my call to make," Vector says, puffing his chest out as he walks in front of Rouge. "But I'm not gonna turn down a helping hand to stop this madness."

Rouge smirks as she looks back to see the police Chief climbing out the crater as well, only able to give a sigh as he wasn't in the mood to deal with her too.

    Angel Island- Knuckles & Tikal

Knuckles follows Tikal through the forest for a while before the two of them make their way to an open area with ruins that seemed almost pyramid like. Knuckles is left in awe as he looks around at everything.

"What is this place?" he asks quietly.

"These are the old ruins of the Echidna race, hundreds of years old...it's where I lived all this time."

"Do you think pieces of the Master Emerald fell here?"

"Ye-no. I-I mean possibly, but that isn't what I wanted to show you. Follow me."

Knuckles looked a little confused but listened to her anyway as they made their way down the small hill into the ruins. He looked around curiously from the stone streets to all the buildings that were till standing.

"You were here by yourself all this time?" he asks Tikal as they continue walking.

"Unfortunately so. I don't know what happen to my family when I was younger, but once I learned to understand the hieroglyphics, I knew this would be a safe place for me to continue to stay. However there was one thing that always worried me."

"Which was what?" Knuckles asks as Tikal turns into one of the larger buildings. On the inside the sun shines through a break in the ceiling, revealing a large wall of pictures.

"The story of Chaos, the God of Destruction."

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    Storm

Storm continues his travels throughout the forest, both cautious and concerned with what he had seen earlier. He needed to find out where he was, as well as a way to get into contact with Wave to make sure she was safe. The only issue was that everything around him seemed barren. Even the wildlife didn't seem like there was many around. All he was able to notice so far was a few birds and whatever that thing was earlier.

    Wing Fortress: Gamma

Gamma listens to the Doctor talk while looking between him and Zero. He keeps the assumption that Robotnik was still unaware of his newfound consciousness and decided it was best not to mention anything just yet. He wanted to ask for new orders as well, however he knew normally that he was programmed not to talk unless acknowledging the doctors presence or responding to him. HE could only sit in silence until spoken to again, just as his older brother Beta was doing.

  6. Casino Night Zone: Vector

Vector looked around to all the people jumping in to help and then to Tekno, who quickly lashed out onto the pod to tear it open. He decided not to concern himself with her rampage yet, as he turned to look outward towards the incoming army.

"Looks like we'll have to fight our way out of this one team," he says as he slams his two fists together. He then jumps out towards Elias, joining him in the fight against the robots as he bites and throws punches one after another.

"I'm afraid Vectors right on this one," the Chief sighs. "As much as I don't like getting non-police force involved, I'm going to need all your help to take care of whatever this crazy phenomenon is."

    Angle Island: Knuckles & Tikal

A few moments had passed, as Knuckles took some time to recover his strength. Tikal waiting patiently as the island seemed to be slowly drifting across the sea. Finally Knuckles stands up and walks over to her.

"Well I've taken some time thinking about it. I feel it's best I get to searching for the remains of the Master Emerald." he speaks to her.

"I fear that may not be as easy as you think," Tikal responds. "The destruction of the Master Emerald had scattered far beyond this island in almost every direction. We can search for any shards that landed nearby, however I feel your joruney will be one a lot longer than you'd imagine."

"What makes you so sure of that?" Knuckles asks, intrigued by her knowledge.

"I-I had read a lot on the hieroglyphics in the ruins about the Master Emerald," she stumbles for a moment. "Not only is it a gem of immense power, but to take apart that power by any means would cause many catastrophes. For the Emerald to shatter as it did, I couldn't imagine its remains to be confined to just this island."

"I see, then it's best I search for the pieces on this island first and then make way to the mainland once the island reaches it." Knuckles says to himself before attempting to walk off into the forest, however Tikal quickly grabs him by the arm.

"Wait! I feel it would be best for you to take a look at the ruins I came from first," she pleads. "There's information there I've always been concerned about, and I feel it would be very important to you as well."

"Such as? All I'm concerned about is restoring the Emerald to it's former form and continuing with my duty."

"I know, I know. But with the Emerald now in pieces, there's something more you may have to look out for as well."

    "Which is?"

    "....Chaos."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Storm

Storm finally began to come to as he sits up, holding his head. He looks around to what seemed like an uninhabited forest with oddly gorgeous weather. He pulls himself to his feet with the help of a nearby tree and brushes off the dirt for his backside.

"Where in the world am I?" he thinks to himself as he starts walking froward. As he continues to travel in a straight line, he then finds a small pond of crystal clear water. His throat aches of thirst as he drops down and begins drinking quickly. After a brief moment, he finally sits back, letting out a relaxed gasp as he feels his energy finally come back to him. Wiping his mouth, Storm then sits upright and looks back to the pond, however this time it seemed to have grown in size and slightly shifted color. Storm stares at it confused before finally the miss-colored water begins to separate itself from the pond and move onto land, before starting to rise upward into the air. Storm can only watch in shock as the water begins to form a body of a creature he had never seen before, with a very visible brain at the top of it's head. The creature then turns its head to look at Storm, it's bright green eyes feeling as though they were staring deep into his own. Finally the creature turns back and starts walking into the forest.

"WHERE in the world am I?" Storm says to himself, out loud this time, before looking at the pond with fear and getting up to run away in the opposite direction. "I need to find Wave fast."

    Wing Fortress: Gamma

Gammas sensors reboot once more, swiftly raisin his arm to grab onto Dr. Robotniks as he immediately sits up from the table. His vision was slightly blurry from damage, however he was able to make sense of his location. He then turned over to the doctor, realizing what he had done, and quickly released his wrist from his grasp.

"Dr. Robotnik," Gamma says blankly, before beginning to think to himself. "I must have shut down again after sending out the final distress beacon. Is the doctor aware of the communication in my head?....should I tell him if it is not the case?"

Gamma then looks over to Beta, who was standing in the room awaiting order.

    "Beta."

  7. Pokemon Research Center

Turtwig lets out a sound of excitement as Amora pets him. He then spins around to look at Tony, as the two stare at one another for a brief moment, as if to study each others faces. Finally, Turtwig smiles brightly and shoves his head into Tonys chest, who can't help but smile in return.

"Looks like he's already taken a liking to you," Amora giggles. "I can see why you chose such a pokemon to start out with."

Amora back upwards as she then looks to the professor.

"Hopefully once everyone finishes here, I'll have a moment to speak with the professor." she thinks to herself, not realizing how intently she was staring.

"Hey, you alright?" Tony asks, looking up from Turtwig.

"Oh! Umm, yes sorry," Amora responds, startled. "I suppose I zoned out for a moment, it's a bad habit of mine."

  8. Pokemon Research Center

Tony nods to the Professors words as he then walks over to Nurse Joy to introduce himself. He then is directed to his case, pulling out the pokeball and tossing it in the air to release the pokemon inside. A small light flashes from the pokeball opening as a Turtwig emerges, landing in the arms of Tony.

"So this is who you chose," Amora says, walking over and petting the Turtwigs head. "He seems a little smaller than most, but I think that makes him cuter."

  9. Vector the Crocodile, Casino Night Zone

As the arms flung out towards Tekno, the police Chief stumbled over himself in shock. Vector however leaped forward, using his powerful jaw to bite down on the arms while also grabbing two others with his hands.

"I'll hold it off! You guys get that pod open!" Vector yells as he spits out metal and continues to fight the machine. Chief Hoppington slowly gets back up, before nodding his head and running up to the pod.

"Vectors right young one! I'll help you get this open so we can move on to the others!" The Chief yells to Tekno as he frantically starts beating at the pod with his baton as well, slowly denting the door side.

    Angel Island, multiple members

The island had now fully rested itself above the ocean waters, drifting ever so slowly towards mainland. The green mist of chaos energy was slowly fading away as the water begins to resettle once more, revealing the island and everything around it. The land was quiet, as many of the animals were now hiding after the events, and a vast majority of the chao had been taken away.  The sun shines brightly overhead as many begin to awaken.

"No no no, please get up. I beg of you, please be okay." a voice speaks. Knuckles slowly begins to open his eyes in a daze. Everything around him felt like it was being thrown away and his vision was slightly blurry for a while before finally coming to his senses.

"Oh my-, what happen?" he finally speaks, getting helped to be sat upright. He rubs his eyes once more before looking over to see the person with him. To his surprise, it was a young girl, who looked very much like him. Her fur was a bright orange color, and she had a very strange attire.

"No way, are you an Echidna?" Knuckles asks confusingly. The girl nods and then hugs him with a big smile.

"I'm so glad you're ok. It didn't seem like you were ever going to wake up."

The entire situation was still leaving Knuckles in shock. He returns the girls hug before slowly pushing away to get a better look at her again.

"I don't understand, I thought I was the only one of my kind left. Who are you?" he asks

"Oh, umm..... my names Tikal," she speaks. "I was living in the ruins on the north side of this island when the strange attack happened."

"The ruins up north? I've always seen the top of them, however I had never been myself." Knuckles thinks out loud for a moment.

"Yes, I too knew about this shrine, however I had learned to never approach it due to the power the Master Emerald held. When the attack happen though, I felt like I had no choice but to come here for safety, before the islands inevitable plummet.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The trees sway in a rhythmic motion through the ocean breeze as they shade Storm. After losing consciousness mid fall, the jet streams above the clouds, as well as the pressure from Angel Island falling had dragged him over above the islands decent, before ultimately getting caught in it's energized safety net. He awakens and slowly pulls himself up to lay back on a tree root. Taking a breather as he felt dizzy from the whole ordeal.

"W-Wave.....I hope you're ok," he whispers gently to himself before falling back asleep.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the west side of the island, Gammas body laid motionless for a moment before finally rebooting back up. He manages to pick himself up from the ground, recalibrating his sensors and surveying the area.

"I am no longer at the Master Emerald shrine. Analysis suggests the blast has thrown me away to the other side of the island. I must contact Dr Robotnik befo-" he thinks before stopping for a moment. Gamma looks to his wrist, and then around the area.

"My logs are being projected....inside of me..." he contemplates for a moment, looking at his body. Suddenly his connection to the Egg fleet got restored and all of the emergency calls were coming in. He swiftly opens up his communicator and sends out a signal.

"This is Gamma, requesting immediate pick up from the Mysterious Island. The objective.....has resulted in failure." he quickly responds, closing his communicator and then sitting down.

"This feeling...this sense of.....self. What is it?" he ponders some more, looking at his hands and body while waiting for a response from the Egg Fleet.

  10. Casino Night Zone

Vector frantically makes his way through the crowd before hearing a scream coming from the center. Vector then started pushing further as the clouds in the sky slowly grew dark as the wing fortress made its way into view.

Chief Hoppington rushes over toe the pod, and tries to pull at it's doors. He ends up losing his grip and falling backwards, before looking up to see the winged fortress descending down, dropping even more pods and robots that were attacking the city.

" Ay, Chief!" Vector calls out, finally making his way to the center crater.

    Angel Island

The Island continues to plummet through the sky, its shear weight dragging it down faster and faster to the earth below. Just before hitting however, a strong force envelopes the island entirely, slowing it down just before crashing into the ocean below. The island is left with a thick mist from all the thrown around air and water. Flashes on green light pulsate around a few parts of the island, before ultimately dimming out. Knuckles was left unconscious atop the Mater Emerald shrine. Gamma's body nearly to the complete other side of the island. His information logs had finally received enough connection to send the distress call out to the Egglfeet, however much of his data had become corrupted and unreadable after being delayed for so long.

  11. Pokemon Research Centre - Scabbard Town

As the crowd continues to celebrate, Amora manages to make her way through, pulling Tony along with her.

"You said you're a quick mover, but you can barely make your way through a crowd," she chuckles as Tony takes a minute to catch his breathe.

huff  "I'd prefer not to have to literally fight all the way through my journey from day one if possible," he replies, exhausted.

"You really do have much to learn then, about what it means to be a trainer," Amora says with a warm smile.

  12. Scabbard Docks

The boat arrives outside of town, blowing its horn to notify all around. Tony was upfront and ready to depart from the boat as it anchored down and opened up it's gate to leave. He immediately looked around in search of the pokemon center until its red roof caught his eye, to which he made his way over immediately and took a seat inside. After a few moments or so, he saw Amora walk in as well and headed over to her.

"My, you really do move quick," she says with a chuckle as Tony walks up to her.

"Heh, sorry it's a habit of mine to walk a little faster than normal due to all the running I used to do," he replies back, scratching his head. "You're good to head straight over, right?"

"Of course, I had already prepared everything before the boat ride. I just figured the pokemon center would be easier for us to meet up at rather than fighting through the crowd at the research facility."

    "Crowd? For what?"

"You really are new to all this," Amora laughs as she gestures Tony to follow her out the center and towards the Research facility. "There's always a crowd of the locals on the day of trainers getting their first pokemon. Most are relatives of sorts, others just common neighbors or those who really like to support the new group of trainers. We'll probably have to make our way through them though, considering how late it is in the morning."

"I see," Tony responds as they walk down the town streets. After a moment the research facility started to come into view, as well as a large crowd of people, some of which were already cheering loudly.

  13. Boat from Rapier to Scabbard Town

As the morning sun rose over the horizon, Tony was lening over the railway, watching over the sea as many different pokemon would pass by. He let out a relaxing sigh and turned his head, viewing the dock to Scabbard coming into view.

"My my, you're up rather early." a soft voice speaks from behind him. Tony turns around to see who it was.

"Well, the Captain did say we would be arriving early in the morning while boarding," he responds. "I guess I'm just a little over Eager to be starting out my new life."

"I take it you're coming here to start the journey of being a Pokemon trainer then?" she asks, which Tony replies with a nod.

"I'm sure you're probably wondering why I'm starting so late in my life, but I just felt like I wanted more time to see if this was something I really wanted to do as a career."

"Oh no, not at all, that's rather mature of you to do so at such a young age. Most people seem to become trainers almost immediately and then choose a different career afterwards."

"Heh, I wouldn't exactly call it maturity but thank you," Tony replies. A low horn goes off from atop the boat as it approached the Scabbard docks. "I suppose we should head back to our rooms to grab our stuff," he suggests, to which the young lady replies with a nod.

"My name's Amora by the way. We should meet up at the Pokemon center to head over to Professor Alistairs research centre later on. I take it that's where you're going right?" she suggests

"It is, were you going there as well?" Tony asks.

"Yes, I needed to speak with the professor about something. I figure we can head there together, no?"

" I don't mind at all, I'll see you in a bit then," Tony waves as he walks off down the end of the boat. Amora smiles as he heads down into the cabin area back to his room before laying her back against the wall and pulling out a pokeball.

"I really hope he can help me take care of you," she speaks quietly while staring at it with a worried face.

For my legendary, I would like Regigigas. If I can't, then I'll take Regirock.

  15. I just realized it was up. I feel like the pre-reboot had more seriousness and importance to it compared to post, and IDW hasn't really established itself yet outside of being an aftermath for Forces, so we'd be restricted on how the story could go without changing major things ourselves. Game universe it kinda the same way.

  16. Casino Night Zone

Vector snores soundly before being awoken by a faint noise from outside. He lifts up his head from his desk, stretching his arms while letting out a big yawn. As he gets up from his chair, he walks over to the window to look down at the crowd of people gathered around the pod. Upon furhter inspection, he notices a small bird in front of it panicking as others around her were moving in fear.

"Oh no, what's happened since i passed out??" Vector asks himself as he quickly truns around, grabbing hte rest of his coffee from his desk and rushing out the door. He runs toward the stairwell and leaps down the middle, rocketing down to the ground floor for a quick exit out of the building and begins making his way through the crowd to get to the center.

While all the commotion was going on, the Chief of the Police force had already made his way to the pod and rushed over to Tekno

"What's going on here? Who gave you the clearance to approach this?"  Chief Hoppington asks, before looking into the pod with horror.

    Storm, BBAA

As the Battleship was falling apart around him, Storm was searching frantically to see where wave had flown off too. In a breif moment, he heard her call out to him as he turned to look at her racing towards him, however a large explosion erupted before his eyes, tearing off the metal bracket he was holding onto and flinging him out into open air amidst a dark cloud of gas and debris. Storm frantically attempted to get onto his extreme gear, however a large pole had struck him against his head, forcing into a stunned daze as he then began to fall down into the clouds below.

    Knuckles & Gamma, Angel Island

As Gamma arrived at the top of the Master Emerald Shrine, it noticed a bright light flash in the distance. Gamma used it's eyes to zoom in as it could see the battle between Robotniks forces vs the battle birds. Gamma also detected that the upper atmosphere wind currents was starting to drag some of the debris over towards Angel Island as well.

"Current location is imminent to becoming an unsafe zone. Beginning extraction of the Emerald now." Gamma adds to it's log, however as it began to move forward, it felt a slight tug on it's leg. Looking down, Gamma had noticed Knuckles made his way up the stairs as well, and latched himself onto Gammas foot.

"I told you, you're not taking the Master Emerald!" Knuckles yells as he pulls Gammas leg from under it, causing the robot to fall face first. Knuckles then pulls it again to toss it back down the stairs as he then  picks himself up and tries to catch his breath. His body still hurt from the cheap shot he recied earlier, as he slowly walked over to the Master Emerald and then turned back, ready to defend it from being taken. Just as he suspected, it took no time at all for Gamma to return back up the staircase.

"You are a persistent lifeform indeed." Gamma comments on Knuckles. The two pause for a moment as they turn around to see a fire set abalze amongst the forest.

"The eggpods have begun their extraction of this islands living, however I have made justs analysis that you are too dangerous to be taken alive." Gamma explains, as it turns back to Knuckles, raising it's arm as it began charging up it's blaster. Knuckles raised his arms up to try and guard the attack, as he feels a faint voice coming from the Master Emerald. He hesitates for a moment, however his focus was not taken off of Gamma as the robot fired a large ball of energy towards him. Knuckles clenches tightly as the blast collides with his arms, burning him greatly, however he continued to hold his ground. He had briefly closed his eyes upon impact, but as he opened them, he looked in front to see that his arms had a glowing line of green covering them as he was keeping the blast intact. He tried to dig his feet into the ground below and push back, however the force of it all left him in a standstill as Gamma watched on. Again he heard a voice whisper behind him, this time louder, sounding as if it was in pain. Knuckles turned his head to look, however that caused him to lose his balance as the blast then managed to pushed his arms out the way. With no other option left, Knuckles falls backwards as the blast zooms over him, hitting the Master Emerald square on as the entire gem then begins to shine brightly. In the matter of seconds that felt like an eternity to both Gamma and Knuckles, the Master Emerald erupts violently as it shatters from the impact, knocking Gamma completely off of the shrine top and back into the forest, and pinning Knuckles to the ground with sheer pressure alone. As Gamma was being thrown throw the trees, it attempted to send out one final distress signal back to the Wing fortress, before an aftershock wave of green energy hit it, short-circuiting the robot and briefing shutting it down. The pulsating blast was spreading out amongst the sky, cutting nearby clouds into oblivion and stretching out over half the world with sparkling lights as pieces of the Master Emerald flew off in every direction. Moments later, Angel Island began to drop out of the sky slowly, as it headed towards the ocean below.

  17. “I’m sure by now there are faster ways of travel into unsafe areas. But back in my time, over the course of each expedition, things always seemed to get worse. The desert had already been all but near secured well before I began my enlistment. Most of our journeys began in the major forests before the mountains. They seemed to stretch endlessly... the further we went, the denser the trees got. Thick fog and mist would crowd the baseline all throughout the night and early morning almost every day. There was an ambush every week, if not more often: most of them small wandering groups of animals, some large groups or even herds. What I feared most was that throughout each expedition, whether it was planned or not, it always felt like we were advancing much further into the forest than anticipated. Going in the correct direction was a question left unanswered, but without a doubt we transcended deeper. The demons we faced were changing, from common wildlife to forest and jungle specific creatures. Then, in my final expedition was where I saw it. My squad had been separated by the main group during a surprise raid by a group of ape like demons and were lost among the morning fog. In our attempt to relocate them, we came across a rather peculiar demon.

Talos could only hold so much of his curiosity, now sitting straight up as he stared directly at Ronis. “What was so different from it than the rest? Was it not an animal?”

“It was, however none like anyone had reported before. It looked almost like us, a human. Its figure was long and thin however, as if it had been starving for quite some time. Yet its movements showed no signs of it. Once it laid its eyes on us, it charged in swiftly, knocking my squadmates out of the way and tackling me to the ground. It held down my arms and stared directly into my eyes, as if it was trying to look into my soul, before finally speaking.”

“It spoke to you?” Talos asks surprised. Ronis gives a slight nod, looking back inside the estate to see a few workers wrapping up for the night and turning off all the lights.

“It didn’t speak in a full sentence or anything, but spoke only one word in the most desiring tone I had ever heard in my life:heart.”

    “Heart?” Talos echos.

“Indeed. It then released one of my hands, moving towards my chest as it started digging its nail deeper into my skin. The shock and confusion of it all had left me paralyzed, but thankfully my squad members were able to gather themselves after the initial blow and managed to knock it off of me. From there we quickly got up and proceeded to run off as fast as we could in the hopes to find the main group. After what felt like an eternity, we managed to do so; however we had failed to realize one of our members, my best friend at the time, had tripped during our escape and wasn’t there with us. We did our best to locate him after with the backup of the main force, but our search ended in vain.”

“What of the demon? Did you ever find it again?”

“Not at all. The battle that took place before our separation left us too small of a force to advance any further. Additionally,we had already journeyed far enough to consider valuable information to return with. However, that encounter was one that haunted me for years on end. Its near charcoal burnt-like skin, the abyssal dark eyes with nothing more than a deep bright red circular glowing coming out of them, and tears thick and red like blood that seemed to drain out the moment it laid eyes on me that ran down its arms. Its hunger seemed so overwhelming that it drained me of all power and hope. But most importantly...”

Ronis pauses for a moment, removing his shirt and pointing to the top of his shoulder, slowly dragging it down to his heart. “When it scratched through my skins, its “tears” made their way down its arm and into my wound. By the time we made it back to a safe place to set up camp, it had left a large dark scar, a color nearly that of the demon, that seemed to grow throughout my body,. Not matter how much I was inspected, neither the mages or medics seemed to find a solution to its cause. As a result I was left with it.”

Ronis grabs his shirt, putting it back on as he finally lays back in his chair once more. “Overtime the scar slowly began to fade away. It took nearly two years, but finally it was gone from my body. However my nightmares continued well after that, through retirement and during my early years of establishing this orphanage. Even through some of the years I knew you. Of course the military and kingdom likes to keep most of the efforts of the expedition hidden from the general public to avoid any worry, but knowing what I know I can only imagine that in my time away they’ve encountered more demons like the one I saw, especially after the last decade.”

“The rise and fall of Paladin Lucian.” Talos speaks. Ronis nods a bit.

“His hope was just as young and short lived as he was. The young boy who sought to re-break the barrier between mages and warriors. By his second expedition, the team had claimed to discover a secret to the origins of the demons. Then within the very the very next one, him alongside many others were ambushed and lost in the mountains to a vast horde of demons no one had apparently ever seen before.”

“That must be the main reason to why we have such low numbers now.” Talos ponders, closing his eyes briefly in thought.

“Without a doubt. A failure that large, along with the fear of many who survived and spread word of the incident has left the kingdom in quite a state of emergency. There is doubt and fear that hasn’t been felt in generations. We can only hope the King and his general have a plan for the upcoming departure... Listen Talos, I know it’s too late to stop you from going, so I wish to to gi-” Ronis goes on, however he turns to see Talos completely knocked out and snoring quietly. Ronis can’t help but shrug as he gets up from his chair and throws Talos over his shoulder.

“You definitely got a long way to go with your drinking kid.” he snickers before walking into the estate and taking Talos up to a spare room to rest. He drops him on the bed mercilessly, yet it hardly even bothered him as he was well beyond waking up anytime soon.

“Best hope you don’t have a hangover tomorrow. I got something left to teach you.” Ronis says to him before closing the door and heading to his own room to sleep.

  18. I voted neither solely cause I'll join any RP anyway and don't wanna choose. :P

There were a lot of even older RP's I wished we finalized tho, like TDH, Chaos Freedom, Bedlam, even tho that's my bad for going away for 4 months in their primes

  19. “What else could I be here for?” Talos replies, pulling out the bottle he had bought earlier at the store. “I can’t pass up an opportunity to kick back with you for once.”

“Estus Ale??” Ronis blurts out. “I’d be in a surprised you noticed that’s one of my favorites if I wasn’t already questioning how you managed to pick it up in the first place. You only joined with the military 2 years ago right?”

“They gave me a special pass, just this once, considering I’m gonna be part of the expedition team. So wadda ya say, wanna bore me about the stars one last time?”

“Ha, that’s assuming you don’t pass out trying to keep up with me. I may have some age on me, but my skills haven’t dulled out yet.” Ronis taunts, getting up from the chair and grabbing the bottle as he walks towards outside before stopping.

“Talos.....you didn’t keep this cool at all today did you?” he asks calmly, causing Talos to tense up in his seat.

“Well.....you took too long to get back to me I forgot.” Talos complains back. Ronis can only help but sigh before turning around.

“Go set up the chairs. Luckily I have a spare down in the cellar. I’ll just place this one down for another time.” he groans. Talos abides by his request and grabs two reclined chairs and carries them outside. Within a few moments Ronis meets up with him, a new Ale and two mugs in hand. They begin their night of relaxation as Talos goes on about the two years he spent in the military before coming back as the stars slowly moved across the sky.

“My, it seems you’ve already had quite the shift in experience being out in the desert for so long.” Ronis laughs, taking a large gulp from his mug and pouring some more ale to refill it.

“Oh my god, you wouldn’t believe. The difference between hot and cold out there really gets to you. It’s like two completely different environments out there, but the same lack of water!” Talos brags.

“Hmph, give a kid half a bottle and he forgets you spent 25 years in the military.” Ronis snorts.

“Yea but you haven’t been out there in just as much time also!” Talos retaliates. “Things change.”

“Yeah, in your favor. With all the new spells and experiments the magic council has been implementing, your training’s a walk in the park compared to what I had to do. We had to walk most of our way in and out of the desert grounds to train.”

“Whatever old man, you’re just losing touch with what’s new and now you’re salty.” Talos continues, overfilling his mug with more ale. Ronis stares at him as he takes a large gulp and gulp and places his mug back on the stand.

“Speaking of which I suppose, what made you decide to come back here again anyway?” Ronis questions, as he slowly pours most of Talos’s drink into his own mug while he looks away.

“Well where else was I supposed to go? Sitting in the barracks all day would’ve been boring and I needed to come back around town for the King’s speech tomorrow anyway.” Talos responds, placing his hands behind his head and looking up to the stars.

“You didn’t make any friends during your time out there to spend the day with them?”

“I joined up just as the latest expedition got back from their journey. Many people were hesitant of me and my decision to want to join the next one, so it was mostly kept to acquaintances and association through similar careers. People would praise me for my determination, yet they never really seemed eager to want to know me outside of training.”

“Not even the others who wished to go also?”

“There weren’t many others to begin with. The only ones in my unit are all veterans at this point and probably weren't in the mood to befriend some newbie. Apparently the numbers for this group are the lowest it’s ever been, and that’s not the only rumor flying around right now.”

Ronis thinks for a bit, finishing the last of the ale before laying back down. “Sounds like you just kept to yourself again as usual. That’s all you seemed to ever really do growing up here also.” he replies with slight disappointment.

“What was the point? No matter who it was, people would always get adopted in time. Most of the adults would switch out of jobs to try other things. You’re the only one I could rely on being there indefinitely.”

“It didn’t have to be that way for you. Many couples and families had an interest in you, but you consistently refused to listen or properly meet with them that they decided otherwise.”

“Good for them. It’s not like it was a guarantee that things would have been better anyway.” Talos quickly replies back, leaving Ronis in a long pause.

“Is that truly how you feel about things? Avoiding confrontation with change isn’t always the best solution.”

“My mind has always been set on going on an expedition to begin with. The real change would be me leaving once I was old enough anyway. If anything, I did them a favor by not disappointing them in the event I don’t come back.”

“So then what makes you think I’d feel any different, having raised you from when you were but a young child?” Ronis pushes on. Talos turns over to look at him, slightly falling out his chair from over drinking but manages to catch himself and tries to play it off.

“Why wouldn’t I? The amount of people you see come and go from this place, no matter how close you may get to them. It shouldn’t be any kind of issue right?”

“Seeing a child or coworker off in the hopes of gaining a better life is much different than having them risk their life in combat for our nation. The demons of our land are not something to take lightly.”

Talos looks over again, once more nearly falling off the side of his chair. Ronis leans down to grab a pouch of water and offers it to him. There is a long pause as Talos looks at the pouch.

“Don’t make me have to slap the shit out of you.” Ronis says bluntly. Talos accepts the pouch.

“You never talked to me about your time in the military.” Talos began, wiping his mouth from water. “The things you saw out there. What these expeditions are really like. You always just brushed it off, saying it wasn’t something I should be concerned about.”

“Because you were young and I didn’t want it to be something you needed to be concerned about--but seeing as you’re almost on your way now, I suppose there’s no point in hiding anything anymore.” Ronis speaks, sitting up from his chair. Talos glances over to him, beginning to sit straight up as well.

  20. Far off from the Kingdom and its populus, across the great plains and into the desert edge, the Euphorian military trains its soldiers. For those who have volunteered for the upcoming expedition, their day was rather light in preparation for the journey ahead. A young man, dark skinned in complection compared to most of the others, washes his head from sweat after an early morning spar with his peers.

“Let’s go Talos! I’m sure you’ve got things to do today just like the rest of us!” a training instructor calls out to him.

“Moving sir!” Talos responds, wiping his face and jogging back into formation with the others.

“Well boys, that was quite the exhibition you gave today,” the instructor begins, “For most of you, enjoy this early day off before returning in a few days. For the rest of you, who have chosen to take part in the 154th expedition, take this time to have one final day with your family, your friends, and loved ones. I know there are some who have experienced this all before, but for most of you this will be a new, life changing experience. I only wish you the best of luck in your endeavours, and to come back safely to all of us once it’s over. May my blessings ease your curse.”

“And may the curse be lifted from us all!” the group responds before being dismissed. Talos quickly rushes back to the barracks to grab his belongings before heading out. Many who see him wish him luck as he passes by, making his way to the mana rails. He steps onto a large rectangular train like vehicle, amongst others waiting to head home as the conductor takes a large light blue crystal from his pocket and locks it into a gear. A large metallic panel motions up from underneath to protect people from falling out as the train slowly begins to move, slowly picking up speed before rocketing off effortlessly back towards the kingdom. Within no more than an hour, the group reaches the massive town that rests before the castle walls, overflowing with life and prosperity. Talos departs from the train with his bag and starts making his way inward, passing by many shops and markets. On his way he makes a quick stop by the liquor store, purchasing a large bottle and placing it in his bag before continuing on into the residential area. Many soldiers were pacing around him, all rushing to get home as they each reached their destination to see their parents, spouses, and even children. Talos continued to move on, rushing by every home before finally reaching a gate that had a dirt path leading into a small estate. He throws his bag over the gate as and jumps up, vaulting himself over the walls. He  squats low into his decent to grab his bag again as he then begins to walk calmly towards the house as many children were in the yard playing. Some looked up from their games to give him a wave, to which he responded with much excitement. Upon entering the home, a young boy runs up to him.

“Big brother! You’re back again!” the boy yells out in joy. Talos bends down to pick him up and rests him on his shoulder.

“I am, but only for the day this time. Do you know where Ronis is right now?” Talos asks with a smile on his face. The boy nods and points outward, leading Talos through the open halls of the house. All around were many children playing and cleaning, with a couple of adults alongside them for supervision. Talos makes his way towards the back of the Estate, going out into the back yard as he looks out to see an older gentleman sitting in a chair beneath the shade of a great oak, reading a book to a circle of children.

“Long time no see old man.”  Talos says walking up, as he places the child down from his shoulder, who runs over and sits with the group.

“Ah, you’ve come back once again. I keep telling you not to return unless you wanted to take up a job here.” Ronis chuckles. He places a tab in his book before closing it, getting up from his seat to give Talos a handshaking hug.

“I know, but today’s different. I’m sure you know what tomorrow is right?” Talos asks. Ronis gives a small nod of understanding before looking back to the children.

“Allow me to finish this story to the children. In the meantime, make yourself at home, get a decent wash and some food. I’ll be with you shortly.”

“What and borrow some of your out of style rags again? I’d be better off washing with the stuff I have on now.” Talos jokes, causing Ronis to quickly swing his hand up, backhanding him in the temple. Talos attempts to dodge but still gets scrapped a bit.

“You’ve definitely improved, yet you still aren’t fast enough.” Ronis grins. “My home, my rules, now go and get yourself freshened up,” he orders before walking back to his chair. Talos rubs his head, giving back a grin of his own before walking back into the house. He quickly does as he was ordered and takes a much needed wash, then spends most of his time relaxing around, helping out with the daily needs around the estate. Within no time at all, it quickly became late evening. Talos relaxes back into the couch as most of the children go off into their upstairs rooms to rest, while many of the adults leave to go home. Ronis walks into the living room and sits in a chair across from Talos.

“That was quite a long story you read to them, huh?” Talos teases, giving out a slight yawn.

“Well once they catch an interest, it’s quite difficult to put a book down, wouldn’t you agree?” Ronis replies.

“Can’t say I can. Reading was never really something I enjoyed doing, unless it had some pictures to go with it.”

“Hymph, naive as ever still. Lack of pictures can lead to the greatest images of all: your imagination.”

“You never rest from an opportunity to spout some teacher nonsense, huh?” Talos complains, picking up his bag from his feet and placing it on the table.

“You never take the time to process any of it to keep me from having to do so.” Ronis retorts. “In any case, what brings you here on your final day before embarking outward?”

  21. > Writers Note: This story will have a couple of swear words thrown around from time to time, but later on will have most likely a lot of blood & gore among other things as well that aren't suitable for certain ages (depending on your country, Idk I'm just giving a heads up). Otherwise I hope you enjoy it. <

Dawn breaks peacefully over the horizon. The world radiate with light as a new day begins. However, this day is one that is most familiar. The final day before the next journey into a darkened world.

The Kingdom of Euphora. A massive enclosure of a humanoid race that had built itself up from nothing over the course of over 800 years. Protected by a vast mountainous region, dense and enclosed forests, a mercilessly heated desert, and finally an exposed field of great plains, the Kingdom sits just before a cliff, surrounded by the open sea. Its people are of a peaceful nature, always working together to improve upon the community, led by the 17th successor of the Rai family, Gillius. The only thing stopping such a flourishing society from continuing on forever is the overwhelming threat of demons that vary from any living creature. Throughout the early stages of Euphora’s creation, countless battles were fought for humans to escape far enough from a constant threat of demon attacks. Over the course of time, the land began to build up, fending off any demonic beings in the area, securing safety throughout the great plains and majority of the desert line. Now, with a thriving economy and strong military force, Euphora focuses its efforts training the best of soldiers, from warriors, archers, rogues, and mages alike to set out every 5 years on an expedition to push even further inland with hopes to eradicate the demon threat once and for all. Unfortunately, no matter how far they managed to push, it never seemed to fade away. It never seemed to show any end. The fear of losing their very way of life just never stopped....until now...

The morning had only just begun, yet King Gillius was already pacing tirelessly in the war room. Spread across the table laid a drawn out map of the land, as detailed as what had been explored. He continued to walk back and forth, keeping his eyes trained on the mountains which were hardly drawn in as his soldiers were unable to ever move further.

“My Lord, you’re up rather early, as usual,” a man speaks as he enters the room. Gillius stops pacing to look up to him, giving out an exhausted sigh before finally sitting down.

“General...you know how I feel about all of this,” he responds, grabbing hold of a wooden sculpture of a soldier. “How does the unit look this time?”

“Not good at all. Our current count has us just below a hundred,” the General responds, lowering his head. Gillius drops the miniature soldier, leaning over the table wide eyed.

“A hundred?? That’s impossible. A number like that is hardly even a third of normal count,” he exclaims.

“Indeed. It would seem the incident from the last expedition has severely lowered the desire for participants. We’ve gone from having our most successful draw to the worst in our history,” the General states, pulling out a scroll and feathered pen, placing them on the table. “I’d advise we change our plan of action for this expedition. Something more cautious, while also increasing the monetary gain.”

Gillius can only help but rub his chin from under his beard, looking at the written out plans from his general. “Yes, I suppose we should. Forcing any excelling expectations without the trust of our troop would be most problematic. Can I leave this task to you?”

“Absolutely my Lord. Where shall you be in the meantime?” the general asks, collecting his things.

“For now I’ll do what I can to make adjustments to my speech, and also try talking to my daughter once more....” Gillius responds, looking out the window to a tower across the castle grounds.

“The Princess? Is it safe to assume she has yet to come to terms with your decisions?” the general presses on.

“Indeed, she’d kept herself locked up in her quarters for over two weeks now, sneaking out for food to avoid contact with me. If the morale of our nation is the top priority out of this, then I’ll need her to at least make an appearance for the departing troop.” Gillius responds, moving his hand from his chin to the side of his head in frustration.

“A most wise decision my lord. I will leave you to your family issues then.” the general snickers as he turns to walk out. Gillius gives him a slight glare, catching onto his tease, but lets it go, knowing the two go way back that it was only to try and help him ease up. He lets out one final sigh before getting out his chair to leave the room as well.
