  1. Just outside the Egg O' War...

Captain Metallix was making final preperations before heading onto his ship, the Metal Marauder Mk.II, when he recieved a refreshment briefing by Dr. Nega. "Right, let's just go over your mission one last time..." said Nega via communicatior, but Metallix was frustrated. "Ugh, very well then. Once more, if'n ye please." he said rather rudely. "Now, now. There's no need for the sass, Captain." Nega replied, in an eerily calm manner. "Anyway, here are your mission objectives: I've located the Jeweled Scepter's current whereabouts, but it won't be easy to obtain. There are guards all over the treasury where it's being held. Have our new 'Nega-Droids' deal with them, while you enter the treasury and grab the scepter." Metallix then replied "Please, this be sounding like a cakewalk." Nega then continued "We'll see. Once you have it, return here at once. Oh, and if you spot Blaze at all during this mission..." but before he could continue, Metallix interrupted. "Let me guess: Take her down? Lure her into a trap?" Nega then quickly replied "NO! Avoid her at all costs!" Metallix was confused by this, until Nega explained why. "Remember, she still has all 7 Sol Emeralds on her right now. If she transforms, you'll be unable to continue." Upon hearing this, Metallix understood the situation. "Aye aye, sir. She be saved for another day." he said. "Now... will that be all, Master Nega?" Metallix asked, to which Nega replied "Yes, yes. You've been updated. Now, proceed with the mission!" And so, Captain Metallix loaded the Nega-Droids onto the ship, and began to set sail for the Jeweled Scepter's current location: Southern Island.

  2. While driving back to Monstropolis, Dr. Rozner noticed something - or someone - approaching his car. As he stopped, it became clearer who it was: a Robot Master. Stephen exited his car, and confronted the Robot Master. "I'm surprised to see your face again, Shadow Man." he said. "After all, you were the first to refuse my offer." But Shadow Man just stared at him, coldly. Then he spoke "...My masters will eventually return. I didn't need any protection from you." Dr. Rozner had heard him talk about his 'masters' before, but couldn't quite tell who he meant. "Look, Dr. Wily is gone now. You don't need to follow his orders anymore," Stephen said, but Shadow Man quickly replied "I'm not talking about him! I have other masters. They're... not from here." Dr. Rozner then asked "And why would you tell me this, especially if you don't want my help?" Shadow Man paused for a bit; even he wasn't entirely sure why he did. He then replied "I... don't know. Perhaps to warn my 'brothers' that are still with you." Despite his confusing agenda, Dr. Rozner just nodded. "Well... at least that shows you're on the right path to redemption," he said, happy that Shadow Man was at least showing some remorse since being rebuilt. "I'll let the others know that you're doing fine." And without another word, Stephen got back in his car and continued driving towards Monstropolis, while Shadow Man continued to roam the desert...

  3. Inside the Lab...

As Fire Man teleported into the room, he noticed that things were rather quiet. "Hello! Anybody home?" he said, wondering if everyone had left because of the news. His suspicions were cut short, however, when another voice replied from the other room. "Fire Man? You're back earlier than usual..." said Elec Man, who was busy working on a faulty power switch. "Oh howdy, Elec Man." replied Fire Man. "Ya don't happen to know where Rock and the others are, do ya?" Elec Man shrugged, and replied "I think Dr. Light and Rock left to get some supplies, and the other Robot Masters should be finishing their shifts anytime now."

Fire Man was mildly surprised. "What about Roll?" he asked. "Is she still in Downtown Mega City?" Elec Man pondered for a bit, then replied "Most likely, though I haven't actually heard from her since before the 'big news' hit." Since there was nothing for him to do here, Fire Man decided it was better for him to head out. "I'm gonna go find Roll. You comin', Elec Man?" he asked before leaving. "Not right now. I've still got to fix this blasted switch." Elec Man replied, getting a little frustrated at the switch he was fixing. Seeing as Elec Man was probably going to blow a fuse soon, Fire Man immediately headed for Downtown Mega City.

  5. International Electromatics RnD Center

Dr. Rozner was just packing up, ready to drive back home to Monstropolis. As he packed the last few things, he noticed a special bulletin on the news. "This just in: Reports are coming in of a supposed new Robot Master prototype spotted in downtown Mega City." said the reporter on the TV. "One photographer here managed to get a lucky shot of the prototype before it was whisked away, presumably back to Light Labs..." The screen then showed a picture of a fox-like character. Upon seeing this, Dr. Rozner became curious about what Dr. Light was planning. "Hmm... I should probably wait until tomorrow morning," he said, "Dr. Light shouldn't be too busy then." He picked up his briefcase, headed downstairs and exited the building. On his way out, he thought he saw something on top of a nearby building, like a Robot Master. But when he checked again, it was gone.

    Waste Management Facility

"Another day of burnin' waste..." said Fire Man, disappointed with the lack of action today. "Heard those terrorists might cause trouble soon, tho'. Heh, too bad for them. They'll never make it past the Flames of Justice!" he gloated to himself. As his shift approached its end, Fire Man made his way out of the facility, but not before getting a glimpse on the news about Dr. Light's new 'prototype'. "Huh? That don't seem right..." he said. When a co-worker asked him if he knew anything, he replied, "It's news to me. I ain't never heard 'bout this before today." As he left the facility, Fire Man pondered to himself. "Maybe Rock or Roll know 'bout this? I'll ask when I get back." He then teleported back to Light Labs.

  6. Volt Man headed back to his home after a long day, but noticed Metal Man along the way. "Metal Man? What're you doing out here?" he asked. Metal Man looked over and replied, "Just taking a look at the city." He didn't seem very talkative today, but Blitz Man was used to this. The DWNs that were still staying with Dr. Rozner were finding things difficult. "So, how'd the new job go?" asked Blitz Man, but Metal Man sighed. "I don't think dentistry is the right job for me..." he replied. Just then, Volt Man remembered something. "Oh, right. I forgot..." he said, as he got out a storage capsule he was carrying. "Look what I found after work today! It was just laying on the ground. Pretty cool, huh?" He showed Metal Man the capsule, which had some kind of glowing, red gemstone in it. Metal Man was surprised. "Huh. Looks like some kind of ruby..." he said curiously. Volt Man noticed his curiosity and said, "I knew that'd cheer you up! I'm gonna show it to the others and Dr. Rozner, too." But as the two of them started heading back, Metal Man seemed to be lost in thought. "Hey, Metal. You okay, man?" asked Volt Man, concerned about his 'brother'. "Huh? ...Er, yeah. I'm fine." Metal Man replied. "It's just... that gemstone. It looks like... something I've seen before... I think."

  7. On the outskirts of the city...

A white portal suddenly opened, and the N-Forcers approached from it. As they exited the portal, however, it quickly disappeared. "Woah, hang on! Was it supposed to do that?" said Darkspine in shock. Xenon replied "Hard to tell. You know what Master Nega's like." But Darkspine wasn't amused. "Yeah, well this wasn't part of the plan!" Xenon and Chi quickly told him to shut up, though. "Scanning... we're definitely near New Mobotropolis, but I cannot detect any disruptions in space-time..." said Chi, puzzled. At this point, Darkspine was getting angry. "Oh, great. So this was all a waste of our time," he proclaimed quietly, "I bet he just threw us all out here to get beaten by Sonic." Before Darkspine could continue ranting, however, they heard some kind of commotion in the market...

  8. In the Main Headquarters...

"What was that?" said Dr. Nega, looking puzzled at the screen. Captain Metallix took a look, and seemed surprised. "Yar! It appear to be a flux in space-time, Masterrr Nega!" he said with delight. "This be coming from Mobius, sirrr. Near the Kingdom of Acorrrn?" he asked. Nega replied "So it seems. Can you pinpoint where or when it originated?" He was getting very interested. "Do I look like a supercomputer to ye?! Of course I can't!" said Metallix, but Nega just brushed his insult off. Thinking that this might hold a key to his multiversal plans, Nega got up from his chair, and walked towards the door with a faint 'W' above it. "Hmm... send in the N-Forcers," he said. "They can track down the source of this... anomally." Metallix then questioned Nega, asking "And what of yer plans for the Sol Emeralds? Or the Jewelled Scepter?" Nega turned around, grinning. "Well, that's what you're here for, isn't it?" he replied, walking towards a large window. "Besides, it's about time we put our new toys to use. Hehehehe!" As he laughed, Captain Metallix looked into the window at the storage room, filled with newly built 'Nega-Droids'. Metallix slowly nodded, agreeing with Nega.

Soon after, the N-Forcers arrived to the main headquarters. "What now, sir? Haven't we got a job to do?" said Xenon, unhappy about being pulled out of his current mission. "Not anymore, Xenon! So quit yer whining and listen!" replied Metallix, wanting to get the team out of the way quickly. Nega turned towards the team and presented an image on the moniter. "Attention, N-Forcers! Your mission has changed," he said sternly. "I need you three to seek out the cause of a space-time anomally on Mobius Prime. The last known coordinates were here, near the Kingdom of Acorn." However, Chi had doubts. "Sir, that would be in New Mobotropolis. We cannot go there without being detected..." he responded. Xenon looked in agreement, but Darkspine didn't, saying "Aww, come on, Chi! Don't ya like a challenge?" Xenon quickly cut him off. "We can't allow Sonic OR any Freedom Fighters to know about us! At least, not until we've got this machine running..." he replied. Dr. Nega then shouted "SILENCE!" Everyone stopped, and Nega continued. "Now then... as for your current mission, I'm handing it over to Captain Metallix until you're done!" The team weren't exactly proud of the news, but reluctantly agreed with the plan. "Very good," said Nega. "I've programmed the Gateway to send you near New Mobotropolis, away from detection. All you need to do is track the anomally and stay hidden, understood?" All three then replied "YES SIR!" With the briefing over and done with, the Interdimensional Gateway opened, and the team headed into Mobius...

  9. In the Sol Zone... (The following events take place after an alternate version of 'Pirate Plunder Panic')

With the Super Genesis Wave stopped, the Sol Emeralds safe and Captain Metal's Egg O' War (AKA the Wily Egg) supposedly destroyed, Blaze and Marine were finally able to relax. This didn't last long however, as Captain Whisker had soon taken command of the Blackguard Pirates, Captain Metal's former crew. To make matters worse, Dr. Nega had returned from his 'vacation' across the multiverse, with much more knowledge than before. He returned to his hideout, the Machine Labyrinth, and by sheer luck managed to discover the remains of the Egg O' War. After fishing it onto the island with the pirates' help, they began repairs immediately.

However, they soon discovered that Captain Metal (who uploaded his consciousness into the Egg O' War before its destruction) was still functioning, having gained his own knowledge from the vessel's databanks. Nega saw this as an opportunity to take over the multiverse, with Metal by his side. Naturally, Whisker wasn't pleased with this decision since it involved his rival, and decided to abandon Nega. He and his crew then returned to Pirate Island, planning their next major plunder...

Once the Egg O' War was functional enough, Dr. Nega and Captain Metal used their discoveries to create a new army, backed by an elite unit: The N-Forcers! This team consists of a Shadow Android named Xenon, the E-Series Model 121 Chi, and a hedgehog/wolf hybrid named Darkspine. Eventually, Nega was even able to build a new body for the Captain, who now goes by the name 'Metallix'. With his army and the Egg O' War slowly coming together, Dr. Nega begins to gather his resources...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Earth, in the year 20XX...

After Dr. Wily's plans with Gamma failed, Blues (still in his 'Break Man' persona) has been wandering both Monstropolis and Mega City, though nobody knows why. Meanwhile, the kind Dr. Rozner had decided to take in Wily's Robot Masters, who were struggling to find a purpose in the world. However, while some of them were happy with his assistance, others refused to be accepted and hid away from the people. Shadow Man was struggling the hardest with the change, and was one of the first to leave. Now he silently waits for his original masters, the Stardroids, to arrive on Earth. Recently, one of Dr. Rozner's own Robot Masters, Volt Man, discovered a strange gem during his shift. While it seems like an ordinary red gem to the Robot Masters, it could actually be the key to unleashing a dangerous threat onto Earth...

  10. Xenon slowly looked up to see Neo Metal Sonic grab the emerald, though he still couldn't believe what had just happened. He thought to himself, "How did he... get this power? Where... did I go wrong?" as Metal walked away slowly, almost as if to taunt and insult Xenon's lack of energy left in him. Xenon soon realised that he had very few options: Dr. Nega clearly wasn't going to help him, and the NEGA-Force was split up. By the time one of them could arrive, Metal would be long-gone. After some quick thinking, Xenon decided to go with a kamikaze plan, by getting close enough to Metal to fire an EMP Blast. "But... this would certainly terminate me, too." At this point, he couldn't turn back; Metal was almost out! Xenon immediately tried to get up, but had little luck doing so. "HEY! Metalhead!" he shouted. Metal turned around to face Xenon, and the android just kneeled there, with a smug grin on his face. "I'm not done with you yet." Metal immediately charged towards Xenon, this time ready to tear him apart. But as the metal marauder got closer, Xenon didn't move. He couldn't move. Metal then grabbed him by the neck... and Xenon said his final words. "Sayonara... rust-bucket..." And with that, one final EMP was launched, causing Xenon and NMS to both collapse onto the temple ground. At this point, Xenon was all out of energy. As he began to shutdown, all he could do was hope that an ally would come to collect the emerald, before Metal eventually reboots...

  11. I think it's about time I introduced some 'original' characters to the mix. Let's start with Dr. Nega's new elite unit, the N-Forcers:

    Name: Xenon the Shadow Android
    Planet: Sol Zone
    Birthplace: Unknown
Residence: Egg O' War, Machine Labyrinth
    IQ: 150
Occupation: Acts as the field leader of the NEGA-Force.
Gender: Technically none, though is referred to as male.
Element: Electricity - He is immune to most forms of electrical attacks.
Power(s): He can shoot lightning from his hands and surround himself in electricity.
Weapon(s): Wields two Ring Blades, and can use his Air Shoes as jet boosters to hover.
Super Form: Ultra Xenon (requires the use of all 7 Chaos Emeralds or the Master Emerald)
Info on Super Form: Grants temporary invincibility and flight, enhanced speed and strength. Also creates an EMP field from his body.
Personality: He is a bit of a deadpan snarker, and has an inner-hatred for Shadow, seeing him as 'inferior' and a major obstacle in his way.
Fighting Style: Uses a range of mixed martial-arts in hand-to-hand combat, though also shows some skill in swordsmanship with his Ring Blades.

    Name: E-121 Chi (the 'Gizoid')
    Planet: Sol Zone
    Birthplace: Mobius Prime
Residence: Egg O' War, Machine Labyrinth
    IQ: 175
Occupation: Acts as the ranged/flight support of the NEGA-Force.
Gender: None, though is referred to as male.
Element: Water/Ice - He is resistant to most cold temperatures, and can function perfectly while underwater.
Weapon(s): Wields a built-in Chaos Buster on each arm, which can be charged up for a stronger, icy blast.
Personality: He is rather stoic, showing little emotion whatsoever. Then again, he has no real face to show it...
Fighting Style: Prefers to fight from a distance, though will occasionally go in for a fist-fight if absolutely necessary.

    Name: Darkspine the Berserker
    Age: 19 (physically)
    Planet: Sol Zone
    Birthplace: Unknown
Residence: Egg O' War, Machine Labyrinth
    IQ: 100
Occupation: Acts as the muscle of the NEGA-Force.
    Gender: Male
Element: Fire - He can unleash his full power when thrown into a fit of rage.
Power(s): He can stretch his arms to reach long distances, and create barriers to shield himself from attacks.
Personality: He is very hot-blooded, and is always itching for a fight. Also enjoys hunting and 'playing' with his prey.
Fighting Style: Mostly fights with his claws and fists, though he does also use the environment around him to his advantage.

(And yes, for those who may have noticed, these guys are pretty much a 'reboot' of Team Nega from 'Sonic Heroes: The Festival of Bedlam', over in the RP forum.)

  12. Hence probably why he lost to Sonic as a mascot character as well... And from what I remember it was that you draw with holding square button and use the left stick to draw... (I'm not really sure since I haven't played it in a while... o_o'' sorry) And well does that mean Reala is also genderless?

Ah, okay. Thanks anyway. And I think Reala may also be genderless, but since he never 'dualizes' with anyone unlike NiGHTS, he's just simply referred to as a 'he'.

Definitely not Monster Hunter... I would knew that one and if they use a Monster Hunter dragon I would say they should take Rathalos because it is the standart type of a Dragon. For me it looks like a Monster from Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh...

I've just looked it up, and the monster at the back (known as 'Gore Magala') is definitely from Monster Hunter. It originates from MH4, the latest one in the series.

  13. Yeah you should definitely play Okami. I myself bought it for PS3 and I love it! (still haven't played through since anime world needs me.. <_< ) And yeah Nights as far as I can tell is a she. And as for Alex Kidd... He's got some OLD platform games.. And he wasn't a failure mascot... But he did got replaced by Sonic The Hedgehog.. (guess kids then couldn't let the blue blur go either huh?) And so there's going to be Street Fighters? Wow that's nostalgia right there... o_o

I'll give Okami a go if I ever get the chance. Just one question, though: how do you use the power-ups/drawings in the PS3 version? I understand you use the Wiimote on the Wii version, but I don't know how they changed it for the HD port. Anyway, NiGHTS is supposed to be genderless, hence why it has a female voice in 'Journey of Dreams' (the Wii game) but is referred to by the other characters as a 'he'. (Something like that, at least.) And the reason I called Alex a 'failed' mascot is that, while his games might not have been bad (I don't actually know, since I haven't played any) he never came close to rivalling Mario and Nintendo. So, in a sense, he did kinda fail.

  14. ...

    ...

    ...

That's... a lot of franchises, so let me just make sure that I've got this right. Alongside Sonic, Mega Man, Boom and X, we also have:

    - Street Fighter (Pretty obvious choice. I haven't played the games, but I have a vague understanding of the characters.)

    - NiGHTS (I've seen both of his/her/its games, so I know about this world.)

    - Ghosts 'n' Goblins (I at least know that these games are RIDICULOUSLY hard.)

    - Billy Hatcher (Seen the game, not interested in playing it, though. I'd rather eat a GINT Egg...)

    - Monster Hunter (Well, there is that new one out, so it makes sense to have a representitive, I guess.)

    - Alex Kidd (All I know is he was the 'failed' mascot... maybe that's all I need to know?)

    - Okami (Never played the game, but it's slowly grabbing my interest.)

    - Skies of Arcadia (I hear that this franchise has a cult following. Not too interested in RPGs, though.)

    - Viewtiful Joe (Seen the first game, and it looks pretty fun.)

    - Panzer Dragoon (Seen the first game, pretty standard rail-shooter a la the 'Starfox' series. I've heard of an RPG entry that's widely loved, but incredibly rare.)

    - Breath of Fire [3] (...I might've heard of it, but not much. Like, at all. Apparently, the third one is the most loved entry?)

    - Golden Axe (Some kind of arcade fantasy beat-em-up, I believe? It had a character and lava track in 'Sonic All-Stars Transformed', I at least know that much.)

Unfortunately, it's a little concerning that I don't really recognise, or am interested in over half of these franchises. But with that said, I think I may have an idea as to how this crossover might play out: (WARNING - THESE MAY BE POTENTIAL SPOILERS, SO READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!)

So, we all remember how the first crossover's Acts were split up, right? Act 1 was the obligatory meet-up/hero brawl, Act 2 was saving Sonic's friends while looking for the doctors' base, and Act 3 was the final battle/goodbye moment? Well... maybe this crossover won't be so different from that.

Act 1 (which we already know 3/4ths of... kinda) will have obligatory meet-ups (Sigma and the Deadly Six, Eggman and Wily... again, Sticks and the Maverick Hunters etc.) as well as the hero brawl... but with a twist (the main heros are reprogrammed/roboticized, and must fight each other's friends). Of course, we don't yet know exactly WHO will stop Sonic Man and M'egga Man, but the likely guess right now is Sticks (or maybe Boom Sonic) and X. So after the heroes are all restored and caught up-to-speed, where do they go?

Well, that's where Act 2 could begin. Much like how 'Worlds Collide' Act 2 took place in an unknown world (the Skull Egg Zone), and the heroes rescued/recruited Sonic's friends to their cause, perhaps our heroes learn that these Genesis Portals are opening to otherwise unknown universes (Street Fighter, NiGHTS etc.) and begin recruiting the heroes of each world to help them against Sigma. Meanwhile, Sigma also learns of these other worlds and perhaps sends the Deadly Six to recruit some villains... or just take the villains and enslave them, much like Eggman and Wily. Once they pinpoint Sigma's location (maybe a Deadly Six member gives it away to the heroes), they gather all the heroes together for one final standoff, leading into...

Act 3! The final confrontation between heroes and villains. The location? Well, most likely the Lost Hex, but it could become multiversal (kinda like the final fight in 'Thor: The Dark World', for those who've seen it). Maybe there's a fight with Eggman and Wily somewhere in there, but either way, it all ends in a final battle between Sigma and the Blue Heroes. Once the day is saved, the heroes thank each other for their help, and return to their respective worlds... somehow. (Convenient Genesis Portals, I guess?) Then everything returns to the status quo: Sonic returns to fixing his world, Mega Man prepares for the future (either MM4 or something else), Sticks gets ridiculed for her crazy story (if she's the only one involved, that is) and X... actually, I'm not sure. Depends when in their timeline they were pulled into the crossover. The End... for now?

I know that this makes it sound almost like a repeat of 'Worlds Collide', minus the rebooting of a world, but that's just a general idea I'm getting from the teasers so far. I'd love to be proven wrong come the middle of March (or whenever the solicits for Parts 4-7 are revealed), but we'll see what happens when that time comes. Either way, I'm looking forward to see how this all plays out. (One thing I'd like to see: Ryu and X both performing a Hadouken and/or Shoryuken together. Why not?)

  15. Who are these guys?

    Source: IGN

    tumblr_nk8awk0QNL1qlcib9o2_r1_1280.jpg

Wow. This just went from being a Sonic (Boom) & Mega Man (X) crossover... to a full-blown CAPCOM & SEGA CROSSOVER?! For some clarification, I believe at least two of these silhouettes are supposed to be NiGHTS and Viewtiful Joe from their respective series. But in all seriousness, this'll probably all be saved for the finale. Still, I'd be lying if I didn't say that this is starting to worry me. I mean, I know all about Sonic, and I know enough about Mega Man and X to let that slide, but... these guys?

  16. If that's the case then why didn't sonic or any of his friends question how eggman escape the white limbo. What I actually though that dr.wily was going to call eggman by his real name dr.robotnik instead of ivo but its a little weird to hear wily call eggman ivo instead of eggman or robotnik or maybe it just me.

Perhaps for the same reason they don't question it in 'Lost World'? :P But seriously, their version of Generations didn't necessarily have to end like the game version. It's really not a big deal. As for Wily calling Eggman by his first name, well:

    1) Wily calls Dr. Light by his first name. Why not do the same with his new best friend?

    2) Before the crossover, 'Ivo' was used to avoid saying Eggman's name in a non-crossover issue. Same with Eggman saying 'Albert' before the crossover, and blaming 'Al' for what happened afterwards. It's also why you can't actually see Sonic or Tails Man in that one 'Dawn of X' issue. Well, aside from Xander drawing later on, but... I've got nothing for that.

  17. Oh yeah I forgot that scene! In fact Light knew much from Wily and Eggman and their failed creations. Do we have a date in the two universe where Worlds Collide is setteled or is this still only guessing around?

Worlds Collide is canon to the Mega Man timeline, and takes place after the events of 'Mega Man 10' (the game, not the issue). This is how Dr. Light knew about Wily's 'former' plans, but he supposedly learned of Eggman's plans through other means (most likely from Rouge). It's a bit more complicated for Sonic's side; it's technically not canon to either the old or new comic continuity, but rather it happens in a sort of 'game continuity' after the events of 'Sonic Generations'. For simplicity's sake, you could say that Sonic's WC continuity is the same as those 'Another Time, Another Place' stories.

  18. Affected on the space-time-travel? Nah I don't think so. Mega Man perhaps, because he played an important roll and was in the Super-Genesis-Wave but I wouldn't count Proto Man in it.

I meant during the crossover. Neither Mega Man nor Proto Man seemed to question anything, while Dr. Light (and Sonic) noticed something was up. So perhaps the amnesia/confusion side-effect only affected organic beings? The only time Mega Man's memory was affected during the crossover was after Shadow's Chaos Control, I believe.

Anyway, I don't think this really has much to do with Worlds Unite, so I'll leave it at that.

  19. And also Dr. Light was a little bit confused in the Crossover when we first saw him, so I think these are the beginnings that some characters know that there is another world/universe out there or at least they know something isn't right. I am very exited about Worlds Unite and the following actions when it's over.

Well, that was more like a side-effect of the Genesis Wave; whenever it was used, it affected people's minds, giving them a sense that something's wrong. Sonic was affected both times, and Silver sensed a disturbance in space-time (likely due to his constant time-travelling). Meanwhile, Dr. Light also sensed a disturbance, but couldn't deduce what it was. The only clue he had was other people on Earth suffering from sudden amnesia. (Actually, were any Robot Masters affected? Mega Man and Proto Man didn't seem to be bothered.)

  20. But it is not pretty clear if Mega Man knows the events (MM 28: "Is the World okay?"). That's why I asked and it is really interesting why Eggman remembered the crossover and Wily not. But duh. #IanFlynnlogic. Blaze? Didn't know that. Only that the Egg O' War was the Wily Egg.

I get what you mean, but while Mega Man does have that split-second reaction, it's immediately followed with him being completely confused at the city's lack of damage, and having literally no memory of the events that happened between the flash of light (Genesis Wave). It's likely because Mega Man pulled off his Chaos Control perfectly, so everything went back to normal. But since Sonic's was interrupted, it took some time for the memories to be replaced.

What really worries me is what gonna happen to sonic's world after this I'm not to worries about megaman's since they'll just forget the events later but sonic's rises some question.

I think I also read somewhere this will NOT affect Sonic's current timeline? Or at least no permanent damage.

Seriously, people are STILL worried about what'll happen to Sonic's World? There doesn't look to be any G-Waves involved, only Genesis Portals. This isn't gonna affect Sonic's timeline, or Mega Man's most likely. Sonic Boom has next-to-no timeline anyway.

The only one that looks to be any different for the crossover is X's time, which appears to take place at least after X7 due to Axl's appearance, and Sigma being the main villain. As for the Lost Hex and Deadly Six... well, maybe Eggman's had this base for a while.

And perhaps he finds a certain conch later on? It would give the Six more reason to betray him when 'Lost World' eventually begins.

Well NICOLE knows a lot off crossover-stuff so I bet she will also know all things from WU.

Actually, we don't know if NICOLE has any crossover knowledge, or old world memories for that matter. I wouldn't count on her having any knowledge on what's gonna happen.

  21. Xander is the only one who knows that there will be Worlds Unite, right? I mean can Mega Man remember the stuff from Worlds Collide or Eggman or Sonic? It wasn't really clear on MM issue 28 and StH 252...

Everyone on Earth 20XX forgot the events of Worlds Collide after Mega Man's Chaos Control. (Wily briefly mentioned an urge to stomp on a carton of eggs, but that was played for laughs really.) Sonic and Eggman originally remembered everything from before AND during the crossover, with Tails mentioning "those robots from another world" after getting zapped by NICOLE. Blaze also remembered the crossover events, as she mentioned them in 'Pirate Plunder Panic'.

After STH Issue #257 though, Sonic and Co. basically forgot the old world completely, dropping that plot entirely (and making 'Countdown to Chaos' feel a bit less important). It's presumed that Blaze has also forgotten the old world at this point. All that said, though... I could potentially see Sonic at least (maybe Tails, Blaze, Amy and Eggman too) vaguely recalling the events of Worlds Collide, once they meet the Mega Man cast.

  22. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/01/sega-cuts-hundreds-of-jobs-in-pcmobile-focused-restructuring/

so Sega fired Alot of there workers and are now deciding to only Produce Sonic Games on the PC and Mobile Devices

what are your guys thoughts about this

Why are people still saying that Sonic's going PC/Mobile-exclusive?! He's fine for now. If anything's gonna be affected, it'll probably be whether-or-not SEGA of Japan will give the American developers as much freedom as before Boom was released. But we'll have to wait and see.

  23. Okay, just so I don't end up cluttering the other topics with Worlds Unite stuff, I'll only be posting my thoughts on the previews and actual issues over here. With that said, here are the solicitations for Parts 1-3 of Worlds Unite, starting with Sonic Universe #76...

The ALL-NEW Sonic/Mega Man Crossover sequel explodes onto the shelves with "Worlds Unite" Part Three: It’s a cascade of cross-dimensional chaos! On Sonic’s World, the Freedom Fighters are battling with the terrifying arsenal of M’egga Man! On Mega Man’s World, the Robot Masters can’t keep up with the super speedy Sonic Man! Who can possibly save our heroes? The answer is sure to surprise you! After the history-making "WORLDS COLLIDE" crossover event, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man unite once more—and this time Sonic Boom and Mega Man X are joining the fray! Featuring cover art from the legendary Patrick "SPAZ" Spaziante, villain variant by T.Rex and part 3 of the epic 12-part connecting variant cover series by artist Ben Bates!

Hoo boy, where to begin! Okay, let's start with Part 1:

So, Sigma's gonna somehow end up on the Lost Hex where, presumably, Eggman has already met and

befriended is controlling the Deadly Six. Actually... this does make sense. Remember, we saw those preview pages of what is most likely the 'Genesis Portal' story where the Ifrit pops up out of nowhere, so I don't think it's too far-fetched to believe that another Genesis Portal could open up between the Lost Hex and Earth 21XX. Of course, with Sigma involved, of course HE'S gonna be the one pulling the strings. Will the Deadly Six try to betray Sigma later on? Possibly, but the real question would be if their mecha-mind-control could even work on a super-advanced Reploid/Virus.

    Right, now onto Part 2:

It sounds like this is when the Boom crew step in, and it looks like they'll be the ones working with the Maverick Hunters for now. Yeah, I kinda saw that one coming. But hey, at least Wily and Eggman are re-united... sorta... and they're under Sigma's command. Well, at least they finally get to deal with their nemeses. Honestly, even though I (or likely anybody) didn't really think Sonic and Mega Man would get roboticized/corrupted (again)... I feel like I should have. I mean, think about it. The heroes of the last crossover have now become the villains (well, temporarily, of course.) So now, we have to rely on the new heroes to stop them. It's almost typical for a sequel.

And finally for this post, Part 3:

So now we have official confirmation that the Freedom Fighters are in this crossover. YES! Anyway, I guess I should talk a little bit more about Sonic Man and... M'egga Man? Really? Okay, pun-name aside, I like the designs of each, with Sonic Man's 'W' symbol and M'egga Man's Egg Pawn-like helmet and Egg Boss-like markings standing out. Though it looks like Sonic Man might be a bit more advanced than the original Roboticized Masters, since he appears to have a mouth still. This could probably be due to:

    1) Eggman's Roboticizer being either more advanced or still a prototype in the new world. Remember when Axel (not that one) mentioned it back in STH #252?

    2) Both doctors are being ordered by Sigma, so perhaps his knowledge in advanced robotics i.e. Reploids plays a part in both heroes alterations.

I just hope the Robot Masters (Dr. Light's ones, specifically) have a much bigger role in this one... especially Fire Man! So, who wants to bet that Sonic Man will face Boom Sonic, while M'egga Man is confronted by X, in Part 4? It might be the other way round, but I have my reasons to think otherwise.

Phew, that's more than enough for now. I'm just gonna... go and lay down for a bit...

  24. Well, well... what do we have here? Some covers for Issue #76, AKA Part 1 of Worlds Unite? (Spoilered for character reasons)

    10959759_775320292544873_24421813742898210978507_775320125878223_759881924643325

    No solicitation yet, but...

Axl from X7 onwards, AND the Deadly Six?! On the MAIN cover?! And the variant has Quake Woman AND Sally! Whoo!

Also, when Worlds Unite officially starts, do you guys think it would be easier if we just post all the covers, solicits and issue thoughts in the Worlds Unite thread, and save these ones (STH, Boom, Universe and MM) for the non-crossover issues? I just think it will save time for those who'll be reading the crossover when it begins.
