Hi there!

Well, we have a General Art Thread with and I check the other threads and I haven't seen a thread with other artworks exept of Sonic the Hedgehog and Co. so I start this new topic.

I guess almost all of you have seen or made a fan character before. Maybe two. Or three. Or maybe four... but you know. I have made a fan character named Flaretail and he's basically a recolor of Tails, but has fire-themed powers. (Also, for some reason he was born underwater and eventually learned to swim.) So I thought he should have a partner and a home, so I made Headshot (ANOTHER TAILS RECOLOR...) and a Rock Den in the Seaside Hills simply titled "Rock Den." Also has some BIG brains, he's really smart.

So tell me what you made.

If you're reading this first post at the time it's posted, you'll probibly be wondering, 'hey, where are the sketches that are in the title?'.

Thing is, I need a little help.

With harvest over I want to get back into drawing again. and get a lot better, despite having fallen way behind. And one of the big tips you hear is 'try to draw for at least an hour a day'. And that's a discipline I want to get into. The trouble is, I find it very hard to think of things to sketch. The stuff I come up with tend to be big or complex (for me) drawings that will take hours to draw.

So, I'd like some suggestions of things to sketch.

Now, for the moment I just want to get my hand back into drawing, so I'm not looking for anything complex or challenging. More practicing what I can already draw, and for stuff I could do in an hour or less. At the moment my drawing is limited, so I can probibly do Sonic characters (maybe up to three at a time depending on how used to said character I am), some pokemon (I.e. not the complex/more realistic ones) and vehicles (If I know the show/comic/movie they're from). Either single drawings or little sequences are fine.

You can post suggestions here or PM them, and I'll post my sketches up, hopefully getting into a daily routine. Keep in mind, these will be sketches, so they won't be that good. But maybe they'll get better! I hope so.

Hey, none of you cats know who I am, right? Sweet. In that case, I'm taking requests! You won't be getting anything fancy, mostly experimental stuff like the pic up in the top of this post there. I'll do any character, including humans, robots, and fancharacters! There's a catch, though...

You have to request a scenario, not just a character! For example, if you just say "Can you draw Silver?" I won't do it. Something like "How about Silver saving people from a rockslide?" will work though! Also, I won't draw anything that exceeds a G rating! No dirty jokes or gore, sorry!

Ask me what you want me to draw that relates to Sonic the Hedgehog, then I'll get to it and post it on my DeviantART. I'll only do 2-3 requests a week, and any missed ones will be used the next week. (A note to some people: Don't whine if you don't get yours. I have a life outside here, you know!)

Anyway, out of all your ideas, the maximum you have to post in one week is three. Here are the restrictions of what you ask me to draw; They must be appropriate for ALL AGES, as in:

-No sexual content (eg. No jokes about the Sonshadow couple or Rouge's "boobs")

-No cuss language (We've all seen what happened after Shadow's gig)

-No excessive violence (There could be children browsing my page!)

And, as a bonus, they must be true to the Sonic franchise at large. Ask away!

Hi everyone.

So I'm getting close to my one year anniversary as a member on the site (Yay!) and thought I'd draw a little bit of (indulgent) artwork to celebrate. Basically, my recurring RP character's as Mobian's (much to their chagrin I'd guess.)

However, I could do with a little bit of guidance here, so I have a few questions (but you don't need to be an artist to answer them).

1) Does anyone know of a male cat character I could use a a visual cue, preferably from the Yardley drawn issues, even if just a background character. And before anyone points out the Felidae, I'm looking for something in the more standard Sonic style, while the Felidae are more animalistic. There is Lightning Lynx as well, but I'd prefer a cat-cat, as opposed to a Lynx. ;)

Please don't go hunting for one, as I do plan on hunting for references myself. It would just be really handy if someone knew off the top of their head "Yes, there is one in Issue X".

2) Has there been any wolf character's appearing post-reboot? I'm guessing they'd have a more stylized look, and would prefer to copy that than the previous look. If not, I'm thinking of maybe using Antoine as a base, but if anyone one has a better idea...

3) This one might seem odd, but what Mobian races do people think would translate best for Elves and Dwarves? I'm thinking an Armadillo might be a good Dwarf equivalent, but no idea for elves.

And now for the second part of the topic title. Yep, if anyone want me to do a drawing for them, even though my artwork is frankly terrible, I'm willing to give it a go. Especially if you have a member milestone also coming up, I'll try and have it ready for then (though with my work scheduled I can't really promise anything).

However, as I'm still getting used to drawing I can't really do anything outside my... I'd hesitate to call it 'style' because it's not good enough for that, but it sums up what I mean. I'm saying this because I have noticed a lot of requests ask for chibii drawings, and that's frankly beyond me! Oh yeah, and I can't do colour too! :P

And I'd rather not do anything that, well, would require a 15/18 age rating.

Aside from that, I'm willing to give anything a try, so please just ask.

Hmm, maybe I should consider getting a deviantArt account.... and that's something I never thought would ever cross my mind!
